I got my Tabi socks for Date yesterday. They were white so I had to dye them blue. Right now they are in the wash and I am going to see how they turned out as soon as they are done. So far the color took really well, so well it appears to be darker than I wanted so I am hoping it drys lighter.

Dyed my boyfriends Duster pants and they look pretty nice, I also just touched up the shoes for my Ramona Flowers cosplay. I think I'm going to go bug my roomie now and see if she will cut some more of my wigs so I can dye and style them.

So parts of my blazer didn't take the dye and are still dark gray. It's not splotchy, it just has the kind of effect denim does when it comes to color. I was pretty sure this would happen because it's not 100% polyester, so I'll just get some regular iDye and throw it in the washing machine to get the parts the poly dye missed.

Now I just need to buy two more things, style my wig, finish carving my 'knife' and do some sewing.

Finally did some work and I got Yoko's skirt a good way finished...
I need about two more spools of the ruffles to finish the skirt. :/ The skirt goes at least 8 ft around at the hem.
Second sew line is the underskirt I forgot about until I was all finished with the top one. Figured this way was easier and it will be covered by the apron so I wasn't really worried about how it looked.

I MAD.

I put my blazer in the dryer on low, and when I pulled it out it looks like I didn't even dye it. Btw when I pulled it out it was still cold and damp, so the heat and dryness can't have done it.
UGH. I am pissed at the freaking thing. I'm just going to buy regular iDye and dye the whole thing and if that doesn't work I'm going to have to destroy something.

Did you boil it? Regular dye doesn't do snap for polyester stuff. I tryed it before, but it was RIT.

Yes, I boiled it, and for at least half an hour, and I got in huge trouble for making a mess, too.
The blazer isn't 100% polyester so if regular dye doesn't work then **** it, Stocking isn't going to be worn at all.

@lychee: I bent it with a heat gun! I just turned the heat gun on high, softened the parts I wanted to bend and then bent it. I bent it while holding it in a circular shape, though, so it wouldn't kink.

Also are you in my head theater arts and costume design is my major .______.

I knew it! Haha! No one can grommet a cassock so skillfully with out some sort of degree!

As far as the sign goes, I never would have suspected a heat gun.

Decided to drop Mimiru for Sak and wear Kagura instead as I simply do not have the money to get materials I need for Mimiru right now. DEAR LAWD, I AM FREE AS A BIRD ~~~ Now I only need to finish a keytar for Kyle, hem my LSP dress, make Maddy a Finn backpack, make Kagura's bun things, buy better ribbon for Ritsu, test LSP body paint again, and try everything on to see if there is anything amiss. Phewww, feels so good man, I can actually get excited for the con now.

I'm going to try dying the blazer one more time this weekend. I'm going to leave it in the dye for over an hour instead of 45 minutes. And if that doesn't work, then I give up and I'll just have a gray blazer at Sakuracon.

My hands are bleeding from twisting these prickerbush branches into a halo. I mean, like, there are some seriously huge spikes on there. Largest one is like two inches and really really sharp. I would go around it with a pair of fingernail clippers but that would be cheating.

Dunno if I'm actually gonna use this or not. He only has it in one illustration.

I have about an hours worth of work left and my skirt will be finished for my Jacqueline cosplay!!!!! The skirt is definently A LOT shorter than I'm normally comfortable with (think like a micro-mini,) but I really wanted it to look accurate..... I'll be getting the materials for the top tomorrow, so I'm getting close to being done with that cosplay!

I also ordered the base for my cane/sword for Lady Gideon, I just need to repaint it and make some modifications to it when it gets here. =]

My Lina costume has finally shown up!

Unfortunately, there's a lot of things wrong with it.

1) It's too pink; Lina's outfit is not pink, but red.
2) The neck of the shirt is too tight.
3) The waist of the shirt is way too big.
4) The yellow thing that goes around the breasts is about 5 inches too big.  (It falls off and goes down to my ankles!)
5) One of the belts is too big, doing the same thing that the yellow thing does.
6) The waist of the pants is too big.

I guess that's it for the ranting, at least for now.  I was hoping to have taken a picture of it, at least, but I was so frustrated with how poorly everything fit, that I didn't even try to work my camera.  I'm planning on giving these guys a very negative response and finding someone who could help adjust it for me.

Thanks, Titus.  I'll keep this in mind.  I've contacted eBay, and have made the required steps to get the seller to either replace the item, or refund it.  The main things that I'm pissed about is the color.  Seriously, how can you confuse bright cherry red with faded strawberry PINK?  (RAWR!  RANT!)
