I finished the arm things and the scarf for Tsubaki, plus I dyed some fabric to make the little darker strips on her shirt and boots. I'm gonna try to get some progress shots up tonight.

I'm wondering if I can use vinegar to set the RIT dye on the skirt without making the white satin get bled into...

Got back from joanns. got more of the green trim, and white elastic stuff >3 ooooh~ that means i dont have to do anything funky for the arm bits! and i got more emerald and white thread, cause im pretty much out. uh... and the elastic and beads for the wrist bracers. off to sew!

What do you guys think?
They aren't perfect and I think I might redo the flames to make them more accurate but I wanted some input first.
Should I continue with fabric or instead paint on the flames?

The triangles look... Kinda long... And not wide enough. Also the red is super shiny (but that's just my taste). Otherwise I think the shape of the flames looks good.
Line up:
-Kageyama (Haikyuu)
-Cordelia (Fire Emblem Awakening)
-Marauder Ashe (League of Legends)
-??? Who knows what else. Probably a cosplay I can wear my glasses with.

i would go with fabric paint. just cuz fabric tends to look uneven and not part of the main bra

edit: just got my watch and ponytail for touko: white :3 just need to paint the watch XD

Bunny - I had it all bigger to cover my whole boob and then adjusted the sides to make it show more sideboob. I probably should cut the length down, too, huh? I just wasn't sure how much it would cover then since right now it covers just enough. I might cut at the neck (it's one strap that I can just fling over my head) and sew on a bit more length to make it a tie neck or attach hook and eye's.
As for the red, it's not shiny but the flash makes it shiny. It's actually a soft, fuzzy fabric.

Ref pic:

Luv - Good point. XP I might redo the whole bra to make it shaped better and get some fabric paint...

I just finished both wrist bracers~ I somehow managed to sew one of them with the elastic and button on the inside of the cuff, and the other with them on the outside.. oO; they're drying with glue and stuff right now and I'm not OCD enough to fix one cuff to match the other... At least the lace is all on the right side! :D And considering I've never sewn a button on.. I'm proud of myself.
Anyone know how many passes you should do on a button anyway? One has like 15 and the other has like 20...

I'll be cutting the elastic down later.

And... I can't find it in my book, but I need trim that's 10" long to stretch over my knuckles to get on my upper arm but stay up... The base is some wide fabric, that kind of stretches but it's not elastic. So do I make the trim too long and have it look bulky or do a mock to see if 10" will fit over my hand?

I finished the black jacket/vest thing for Touko that I'll be using until I have funds for an actual one. It fits too loose on the bottom but I don't particularly care enough to do anymore to it. :P

Also, the sleeves for Kokonoe's jacket were pissing me off, so I decided to redo them. I made the shoulder part smaller and then the bottom looks more paw-ish I guess would be the term to use.

So, this is what's happening so far:

Kayako: Has-wig. Needs-everything else...

Reno: Has-pretty much everything. Needs-shoes.

Rei: Has-well, everything is in the mail so I technically have it. Needs-fox/dog mask.

Alois: Has-wig, boots, outfit is in the mail. Needs:-purple ribbon and bows for boots.

Heartless: Has-absolutely everything, just need to put it all together.

Oh, I also got my binding shirt. I love it so much!

I started on accessories for Taras today, and I bought leather pants for him yesterday. His belt buckle is partially sculpted and his badge has one coat of paint on it.

Also I acquired a vellynaise black leather double-breasted jacket that makes me feel like running everywhere. But that's slightly unrelated.

I finally finished Richea's shirt mostly.
The pattern I used for it though has this odd neck loop that's supposed to be twisted.. And that version, as well as the straight one seen here, both kind of roll in on themselves... So I'm thinking I'm going to sew the rolling parts flat so it's more of a roll...? It's like 4" wide anyway. But I haven't ironed anything yet, since I don't have an iron. And I have yet to sew on the flower portion. Once that's on I can continue with the shirt.

I am almost finished with Nino's jacket. I just have to attach the name tag to it and then hand sew the inside of the collar on the way to Sakuracon or while I'm doing stuff in cars over the next two weeks. Whoooo! I'm really happy with it. I'll probably take a picture tomorrow and post it.

Dying my Kumatora fabric a bit darker right now as well and then I'm probably done for the night. Tomorrows plans are...

-Dye my Kumatora wig
-Sew my Kumatora Dress
-Style Kumatora Wig (Then it's done!)
-Pattern out Dusters Line on his shirt for my boyfriend to paint (Then I have nothing left on Duster!)
-Make a template for the characters on Ric's tie for an iron on transfer

I'm hoping to also start packing for Sakuracon. Ahhhh, it looks like I might be able to get everything done before con though :'D

Princess Bubblegum is done! I'm not wearing the crown in the pic, but I finished it. I'm going to remake it right after Sakuracon though, I am really not a fan of it. I didn't smooth the clay out enough so there are these pockets in it that I couldn't sand out :\ It'll have to do for now.

@Vereca- Looking good so far!

Pictures of my new Nino track jacket!

All that needs to be done is handstitching on the inside of the collar.
IMPROVEMENTS:
-Better fit
-Longer so when I raise my arms my belly doesn't show
-Less zipper wobble
-Zipper in collar placed better
-Better placement of bottom ribbing
-IT WON'T FALL APART

Got my wigs for Stocking today from Caitlin! They're perfect <3 the blue is dark and has some strands of black and also has a plastic skin top. The pink is nice and bright, too. Both wigs are super thick. I tried them on at the same time and you can't see through either one, which is what I was looking for.
I just have to sew the fronts together and tim the bangs. The blue is smaller than the pink, so I might just cut a slit in the band in the back... The pink grips my head really well, but the blue is attached to the pink so why would it matter?

I also gave up and just bought another blazer for Stocking. Neither of my parents really want me doing dyeing, so whatever. The new blazer is already black and fits right, but it only has one button instead of two. I'm going to replace the button with one from the original blazer since those are more accurate. I'm also going to just sew the second button onto the blazer so that it looks like it has two button holes, and if it fits right I'll put a snap on underneath. Then I need to make the crest and sew the lace onto the sleeves and I am DONE!

Good luck. If you wigs are anything like mine you will want to chuck them out the window x.x Mine kept tangling and I thought I was going to have to scrap the whole thing. But the basic style is done now. All that is left is little nit picky details.

I've decided I won't be worrying about making the Mindy Stick for my Hit-Girl costume in time for Sakura. I'm doing the end of the movie version anyways. I'll have enough weapons on me to pose with, and I wasn't looking forward to carrying it with me everywhere. ONE LESS THING TO DO! AND ONE LESS ZIP TIE TO RUIN MY COSTUME.

IN OTHER NEWS THE COSTUME SHOULD ARRIVE THIS WEEK GFYFDUIGFNDXGDSIUGFGHDSHJFD.

I totally hit my Joanns like the Fist of the North Star today. Got $120 of fabric for $73. It's most of the fabric for Keiji (pants, one red sleeve, lining and outer for his coat thing). Still have to order the curly Mongolian fur for his coat thing at some point, but that can wait until after Fanime.

The linen I'm making his pants out of is in the dryer and still needs more dye (It's purple right now, it needs to be purple-brown) and the silk crepe I'm making the outer of his coat with is in the wash with some golden yellow RIT dye. The brocade I'm lining the coat thing with needs a wash with the bordeaux dye I got because it's pretty pink, but it had the flower print I wanted so once I dye it all one flat color I'm gonna go over the design with a paintbrush and bleach to make them light and orange-ish.

I can't wait to start on his sword oh my god that's gonna be the most fun part.

Also I need to start on Taras oh my god.

Got boyfriend's pistol done, woohoo! One more thing I can cross off my con list! ;D

Am worried about the HG buckle on my Hit-Girl belt. From the photos that the commission sent, it looks horrible. I know I'm going to have to remake it myself, which is one more thing I can add to my pre-con-stress. I'm definitely going to have him make me a new one, but it sure as hell won't get here in time for the con. :/

I am not pleased.

As far as judging the rest of the costume, I won't know really until it gets here.

Here's a pic of PB:

Parts of the crown were too lumpy and I couldn't sand them down properly, so I just put some more clay on certain spots and it's just out of the oven. I'll sand and paint it again tonight, hopefully.

;D Awsome.

I finished pretty much the whole costume and realized after putting it on that the buttons are completely useless pretty much. It'll need to be safety pinned or something while on me ... I just need to get some lace for the last bit of it and go shopping at JoAnns tomorrow for fabric for Aram, get a pattern and get some red and white fabric for a plushie.
