So, I woke up this morning, and I was like, "I want to go skating!" This brought back memories of a cosplay meet up that I went to at Skate World last summer. It was an amazing and fun event that was a major highlight of my summer, and I met a lot of cool people there. So, I am posting this here to see if any of you would be interesting in planning another Skate World (in Hillsboro) meet. We can discuss dates and times and hopefully get something set in stone by October. Let me know what you guy think!

I like your idea. If anyone wants to do the same in Springfield, let me know. Good luck, have fun, & remember to only wear cosplay that will be safe while skating (i.e., not too long, not too constrictive, not obscuring vision).

PS 2 years ago we went to SkateWorld for my birthday & I dressed up for it, it was fun seeing people wonder what was up.

Been to many meets held there, and they've all turned out well!

The 17th sounds good for me right now.

And I'll totally be Akito!!! So fitting, no?

For now, the 17th sounds like it would be alright. There are no conflicts with my schedule for the time being, and I can definitely plan around it for the future.

I'd go, but I'm better as ice skating, and the wall tried to eat my finger ie; broken finger. not fun. If anything, I'd go to watch and make fun of people hurting them selves.

I am looking forward to this. I know that most of Taokaka will be done since I am probably at 70% right now, in order to wear it to this meet I would just need to finish the mask.

You guys are seriously doing this the day I'm having my birthday party at skateworld, hahahaha.
It's cool though, I'm renting out the place during one of the times they close down so far. I just thought it was funny that it was like "Oh cool skateworld, waitasecond."

I would love to go, but would it be okay if I didn't show up in cosplay? None of the cosplays I have done are exactly skate friendly.

Cosplays are never needed for meetups. They just add to them!

@ Boogiepop that is a stellar coincidence!!!

@ Aaron & all, I am thinking this is a direction I would like to see "Street Team" evolve. Whenever randomly events start self-propagating across our forums, someone from the newly-initiated event should be sure to have on hand KC posters & hand-bills to give out to folks intrigued by randomly located cosplayers...maybe even start a little flash mob dance sequence of our own

i can probly go ... wont be able to stay for more then 2 to 3 hrs though because school and everything else ... but put me down as a yes anyways . i dont know what i am going to be cosplaying as yet . ill figure something out lol . is everyone alright with Gin from bleach if i cant figure out who else i should be ?

ok . also this year i was plan on going as hayato from hitman reborn . anyone know where i can find his cosplay ? i want the one from the malorne raid... but i cant find it anywhere and any ideas of how to make the belt ?

There's a bus stop right across from there!!!
I can't remember the actual bus number right now, but if you have money, you can always just do that.

That might be what I'm going to have to do.

I found a coupon that is for the public skate from noon to 4:30. So we'd be done by 4:30.

Though, I know at the past ones, we've then head someplace (mainly Beaverton) to a mall or something to hang out longer.
