I remember when I showed my mom a picture of Russia from Hetalia and she said "Oh, of course they'd give him a big nose. But he's adorable. I want to put him in my pocket." Not to mention for a long time she thought "Yaoi" was "boys with cat ears" she still thinks that. And she can't get "Kumoricon" right, she keeps calling it "Cornycon"
