Devil May Cry cosplay problem
« on: August 10, 2005, 02:13:51 am »
I'm going as Dante from DMC, and I don't know how I am going to get my hair white.  His hair hangs in front of his face, so if I use a spray then it will rub off on my face and smell not-so-nice.  Does anyone know of any kind of temporary hair dye or something that can get my hair white (while avoiding to bleach it more than 3 times...)

http://stageandtheatermakeup.com/FantasyList.htm

That website sells many different brands of temp. hair dye, which can be used for such things as Cons.

Otherwise, a wig or something would work, I believe.

yeah theres no way to get hair dyed white without at least two bleachings AND a speciall tint (usually blue) to make you not look like agged paper. maybe less if you have light hair.  but yeah, alot of waterbassed facepaint can be commed into the hair, but be ready for a gelled effect cause it wont be as nice as a spray.  i think i saw someone as dante at another con and he had sprayed his hair, but i think it was shorter than it could have been so wasent in his face.  one must suffer to be beutifull....or in this case cosplay.

Gonna have to wear womens clothes next year at Sakuracon to be Ayame from Fruits Basket :P

Thanks for the Dante hair tips.

You could always try white shoe polish. I heard that one from my drama teacher. She says it washes right out. (note. I have not tried this yet)
