People should also post what they are using! So others can learn to be just as great!
I'll probably do one, since so far its been ways to make eyes bigger and more girly makeup...

If someone wants some make-up techniques to watch on yt I suggest "bubzbeauty". She's got several different techniques as well as some product explanations. I personally like watching her 'natural make up' one and the one about 'drug store make up' - since it references a kind I can get easily (Maybelline).

It's also good to watch her videos for someone dumb like me who's never really worn make up before and doesn't get the whole "order of application" XD

Oh yes, and I forgot to mention: everything I use is the cheapest possible makeup. My liquid eyeliner was two dollars. I use like, NYC brand everything, or whatever there is if there's something that costs even less than that or is on sale. Which just goes to show that you can go just as far with crappy make up as you can with really fancy stuff. There really is no need to spend eight bucks on one tube of eyeliner when you can spend one or two!

I've tried the LA Colors and the NY brands... I'm allergic to them pretty much. They work good, I guess, but they don't work good for my face. And the eyeliners irritate my eyes to insane degrees. I can't stand it on longer than 20 minutes.

Used black and white eyeliners, thickening and lengthening mascara, black emerald-colored eye shadow, and pink lip gloss.

No pictures, but I did try the Maybelline "Dream mousse" foundation cream and "Dream matte" powder, and it works wonders. I don't even need to use a lot. I also used they're concealer that's in a lipgloss looking thing... And "Physicians Formula: Gentle Cover Concealer" green stick. :)

Nothing ran or sweated off, and didn't really rub off. I could still touch my face and be fine. And it wasn't heavy or cakey.

Well, feel free to ask! :) Personally I think makeup is essential for cosplay. Someone like Panty definitely needs mascara and eyeliner.

If I want all out "date" make up (for dates and cosplay!), I use these products in this order:
1) Smashbox Photo finish Foundation primer
2) Benefit Ooh La Lift under eyes (it's made for under eyes to hid the circles)
3) Neutrogena liquid foundation on zits and under eyes
4) L'Oreal TrueMatch powder (nice stuff!)
5) Blush or Bronzer applied with a big, poofy brush
6) Brown or black eye pencil, smudge the outside edges
7) 1-3 different types of eye shadow depending on what I'm doing
8 ) Maybelline Mascara in Black, Blackest Black, or Brown
9) Burt's Beeswax Lip balm
10) Lipstick or lip gloss, sometimes a combo of the two.

That's my fancy make up, though. If it's just an every day thing when I do where makeup, chop out all but the Ooh La Lift, Neutrogena foundation, eyeliner, and mascara. Easy peasy. I use Burt's Beeswax on a normal basis, but I will add it underneath lipstick or lipgloss. It makes lipstick in particular easier to apply for me.

Here's Before:

Here's After:

I should note with the After image it looks better if I had my hair all fancy, too. My bangs have grown out so they'd be sideswiped, not pulled back. Also I'd be wearing jewelry. It looks like a lot with me just in my grody sweatshirt, but that's my super formal look or cosplay look. I don't know why my face is so red in that second shot.

Speaking of eye shadow and liner, anything I use irritates my eyes so I've been opting against it. Is there any gentle kind? I'm willing to dish out some good bucks for a gentle product that isn't liquid. Liquid is too hard for me to apply.

I wonder if Neutrogena might be good. One website recommends using creme shadows and mascaras without any lengthener or whatnot. The dry cake kind supposedly bothers eyes by having the powder fall into the eyes. L'Bri Pure N' Natural was a brand brought up on another site. Perhaps your best bet would be to go to Macys or Ulta and ask them. I"m sure they know of something. You're definitely not unique with your problem.

It might be Talc that you're allergic to. I guess a lot of people have a problem with that from what I'm reading on this site: http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/1647179/eyeshadow_for_sensitive_eyes_how_to.html?cat=69

o.o Wow. I just now realized that might play a part of when my eyes would randomly turn red and water last year's Sakura so I couldn't see. I had to go to the First Aid station every day of the con to get Visine, and they had to inspect my eyes. Apparently it was a mix of the glue in the wig (according to them), oil on my skin and the makeup/liner I was wearing. I'm guessing it was the liner now. >> I'll just invest in liner that is more expensive and not the "NYC" cheap brands.
