I just started this show yesterday and I think I'm in love.

Kuragehime is the story of some female otaku who live together and avoid boys. The show is hilarious to me because of these girls- each one fits a "girl nerd" stereotype, and not the good ones hahaha.

Has anyone else been watching? The series is ongoing, so I want to catch up once I have time.

On a more serious note you kids shouldn't be watching this show. It's blatantly sexist and hiding under the shroud of being "Kawaii Uguu".
The only moral this show has is "Unless you are pretty and conform to society, no one will love you."

I wouldn't say that boogie.Not as the moral of the series at any rate. I think what it's going to do, is show that while society demands they conform, that they can be different, and be happy. Not sure, as I've only watched the first two episodes. I have a problem watching others having anxiety attacks. lol

But I think it's a good show. But I do think it's either for otaku girl power, or understanding the otaku girl in your life. Something like that.

I don't take it seriously at all. I just think it's funny. Each character is just as crazy as the next.

It's a shojo, I usually don't like shojo. But it's different than others that I've watched, I think that's why I like it.

After watching all my hardcore series (Higurashi, Umineko, Jigoku Shoujo) it's nice to watch silly things like Kuragehime.

I've only seen the first episode but I just about died laughing when the chick pulled out her doll and was putting that fabric on it lolol.

I absolutely love Kuragehime. How could you keep this from me, Katie? You like it too?! I find this show amazing, and I'm already conflicted with who gets with who. D: Not to mention for Kumoricon 2011, I really want to cosplay Tsukimi's first make-over or her outfit from the 6th episode, haha;;
(And I can see why it might give off a negative vibe, but I think it's meant to be humorous and lighthearted. I mean, its a shojo, right? :])

And Kuranosuke makes a very pretty woman indeed, and asdjkl; the thought of someone cosplaying him makes me so happy! But it would be confusing to cosplay a guy, who is crossdressing as a girl, when you yourself are a girl? My head hurts just trying to think it all through!

Tsukimi really is adorable. Even when she's grungy. After her first make over, I had the vampire doll scene as my background for awhile. >3> because it was so silly.

I kind of want to be the beautified version, but only if she has more cute outfits.

...And then I started watching episode 4, and Tsukimi has that beautiful princess kimono <33
I'd really love to do the beautified version, I've been playing with more over-the-top makeup and false lashes and all that lately.

I was secretly hoping you wanted to be the prettied up version of Tsukimi, because man do I want to go out in the must comfy and casual outfit/costume there is. Plus I have a sweatshirt that matches, and can easily find the bottoms to match as well. :] Plus-plus! no make-up, woo! (Except for the obvious bit of concealer, haha!)

It's tied with Arakawa for best anime this season in my book. I'm glad there's a lot of love for this series, but alas, hardly any for Arakawa.
