It's funny, because I know we're just taking photos like we have many times before, but on the other hand I can sort of understand their point of view. They haven't met me, and looking at it from the outside, it probably does seem like a weird thing.

I'm sorry about having the shoot be late, I would have liked to have it during the day, but that didn't fit with my work schedule. I'll try to have future shoots be earlier.

I'm dropping out of having a cosplay on the 15th photoshoot. I'm probably going to come to hang but I just decided that all my cosplays that are finished were terrible and ripped them apart so I can remake them for the 3rd time, lol.

Thanks to everyone who came to the photo shoot last night, it was really fun! I know some people walked a really long way in the freezing cold to get there -- I admire your perseverance.

If you missed the one last night, there is still some room at the photo shoot on January 15.

Hi Taikei, I'm glad you can come to this. The location is at the Profile Theatre, at 3430 Southeast Belmont Street, Portland, OR 97213. It is right on the Bus 15 route.

I just heard from the theater that it will be a very minimal set, mostly black with just a few pieces of furniture. I will go see it tomorrow. So we may want to bring something else in. Let me know if you have ideas.

And you could get a bunch of group shots with Gumi since it seems like there's gonna be quite a few Vocaloids there...

Hey Tom. Just fyi. To make it easier in the future and so people don't have to go through the posts or ask a million times, there is a way to edit your first post.

On all your own posts in the upper right corner there's a "Modify" button, which allows you to edit your posts.

It would be easier if you could also edit your first post on the first page with all the updated info about the shoots and such, so people can just look there.

Thanks, I forgot I could do that. I updated the first post.

I went to the theater earlier today to take a look at what is there. It is not a full set, it is very minimal, with just a few pieces of furniture: a couch, some chairs and benches. We can rearrange and use those or move them out of the way. But mostly it is plain black walls and floor. This is good because it means there won't be a "themed" background that might conflict with some of the cosplays.

I was banking my being able to get to the shoot on my having a car, but an interesting story involving promises not being kept and someone being a **** for no good reason has resulted in my not having one by now. I might not be able to attend, which will be a shame of epic proportions.

I really do wish I could go, though. Hopefully something will come to light in the next few days that will let me get to Portland without any problems.

There is no charge to come to this. I'm paying for the theater rental. If people feel they can afford it and would like to contribute something towards the rental cost, that would be nice, but it is not required. I'd much rather have more people come to this and have fun, than have anyone drop out because of money.

I'm not sure, because I don't know what you have available. Bring things that would look interesting in a photo . . . I like props that the person can hold (folding fan, etc.) especially if they suggest a larger context around the action (martini glass, notebook, flashlight . . .).

If you have some kind of rug we could unroll on the floor, that might be interesting, otherwise the floor will just be black.
