Hetalia---British Isles Cosplay K-con 2011

So are there any people out there who would want to do a British Isles photoshoot? Either with the other Hetalia cosplay or not, should we have one?

I can cosplay as Britain/England/UK(if you were at K-con 2010 you might remember me as Pirate!UK on day one who got chased by a France before the photoshoot and Punk!UK on the second I also had a white and pink unicorn as a Pirate). But UK isn't the only brother!!! Are there any takers for this group photoshoot?=^_^=

I may be interested. I'll be doing a Tudor/Renaissance England. :]

I really want to get an Ireland together by then, but I don't know if I can. The England is a definite one though.

I agree with Washougal that the creator is wrong in that regard. The English were...terrible to Ireland, Scotland, and Wales :'D

Well, Ireland has their independence. Northern Ireland chooses to stay under UK rule, even though they could gain their independence. Scotland is working on it, they are aiming to get it within two years or so. One of the reasons they're hesistant is because of the benefits that they get from being a part of the UK. They would lose a lot of benefits if they left so they're weighing the pros and cons. Ireland is doing really bad right now and Scotland is worried that a similar thing will happen if they get theirs. But England has agreed to let Scotland get their independence, it's all a matter of timing.
And I don't know what's going on with Wales, to be honest. I think their main reason is for benefits too.

Oh! Other than figuring out who's going to be who we need to come up with a when and where.


When: K-Con(of course) Day? Time? When the normal Heta shoot is going on? Before? After?

Where: Where ever the Heta one going to be? Where the Heta one was last year? A different place entirely?

(P.S.I'm new to planning things via forums...I can start threads like this and sign up for other threads but idk how to actually set up a time for the photoshoots....does anyone know how to that can help me?)

Ooooh I could write an essay to refute that, historically. They don't necessarily enjoy it nowadays, it's mostly they have just accepted that they're a very small country that wouldn't do very well on their own.Individually they don't have a lot of power and resources and they know that. Right now they're sticking with the benefits of being apart of the UK. Who knows, maybe in the future they'll ask for their freedom as well. There is... it's called Ester Short Park.  It's about 4 sq. blocks and has a clock, some water structure things, an amplitheater, and a playground for wee ones!  (My synagogue does stuff there at least once a year).

That park sounds good. =^_^= I too and strung down to the World meeting, both of them actually, plus I have a minor(dressed at USA) that will follow me where ever I go because I'm her chaparone. But I REALLY want to do this photo shoot

Another thing I was curious about was Scenerios/photo ops. I'm not that politically aware  :-\ ...so I don't really know what we could do....XD Any idea's?

I know at least we could have a shot of each brother sepretly then we could do pairs, like England X Scotland, or Ireland "Twins", etc. Other than those is what I'm asking. =^_^=

*sigh* If we were 21 we could get a picture of us at a bar...but alas... XD

I'll have to think of more ideas. I wish we could do a Wales dressed as King Arthur (since King Arthur was originally Welsh) or him/her with a Black Cauldron (since The Black Cauldron is a Welsh story. XD)
I could come up with a few things for Wales but for some reason my mind is drawing a blank for us as a group.
And I'd always suggest some Monty Python references for England~ ;]

That could work, too.  They have a location in the Hilton that might work for that.  I could get my fiancee to drink the booze before we give you the bottles, if you'd like (maybe me, too, depending on what the drink is). ;D
