Oh god, that first comic's Sailor Moon choker is driving me nuts. o.o It should be red with a yellow heart! She's missing her earrings! Arghargharghargh!

So, last night I was doing my runs for my custodial job. In the math building, there's a language lab. In the past, I've noticed that there is a shelf that has a good variety of manga & anime that's still in Japanese. I noticed last night that two of them are Sailor Moon VHS's, and they both have Uranus & Neptune on the front covers! I'm going to see about checking them out today! (This will be after I get some sleep, though; good night!).

Sailor Moon had to be the longest running series I ever watched while growing up. I remember when I was 7 years old this would come on every morning at 6AM after Superhuman Samurai and then the SatAM cartoons would come on right before school. O_o

Unfortunately, English dubbing prevailed. I'd really like to rewatch this entire series from the start in Japanese. I saw one episode of the original and the lack of censorship made this awesome. The perspective and train of thought are different enough that I enjoy it more this way.

Man, those tapes were confusing!!!

they were in Japanese, and I swear that they were segments of random episodes thrown together! There were also many times that there were multiple voices going on at the SAME TIME and they all sounded the SAME! I had no idea what anyone was saying! There were, maybe, 5 times that I made a guess based off of what was going on, but I can't tell for sure. Also, since I couldn't understand them, there was only one moment in which I laughed, which makes me sad. It felt like a waste of time, watching these; I need to watch this stuff in English or with subtitles, and I know you guys are gonna recommend the subtitles, so sure, why not?

All right you moony fans. XD It's time to put your nerdiness to use and help me out.

I was talking to a friend this morning about Sailor Moon, and she was asking be about an episode that she's trying to find. ( I feel ashamed that I don't know the exact episode off the top of my head. ;.; )

Anyways, she says that the reason she wants to see it is that it ended with Sailor Moon trapped in a dream, or asleep, and she missed the next episode. Now this automatically makes me believe that it is in the SuperS season (because of the focus on dreams), though of course, I could easily wrong. However, she also says that she THINKS the villain had reddish hair, which makes me think that it was Hawk-eye.

But the only episode I could find moderately like that in SuperS was Eternal Dreams, and Usagi is awake by the end of the episode. So! My question for you is, do any of you recognize the episode she might have been talking about? Am I mistaking it completely, and it's actually in another season? Or is she mistaking it for Eternal Dreams, and just doesn't remember things correctly?

it could be in season 2. there is an episode where she gets trapped in a dream by two of the four sisters under rubyus's control and theres also an episode when sailor moon and everyone else is trapped in chibiusa/rini's dream by the end in that season. or it could be in superS and she just didn't see it all or it seemed like a dream or somethin. idk lol but I hope that helps

We figured it out. xP I suggested to her that perhaps for some reason she had only seen a portion of the SuperS movie, and it turns out that was it. XD

XD no. lol. It's Fiore from the R movie. He's based after Alan, but he's 5000000 times more gay and wonderful. <3

XD You should definitely watch it. I'm currently writing an essay for my friends to persuade them that Tuxedo Mask is gay, and all the proof is in this movie. =w=;

But really, I love Fiore to death. He's probably my first or second favorite character in the whole show, and he's only in this movie. ;w;

As soon as you said dreams and red hair I thought of the movie. Lady Badiyanu was the red haired villian. I think the SuperS movie has to be my favorite out of all the movies. Followed by Hearts In Ice (Luna is soooo cuteeeeee!!!!!) then the Promise of the Rose movie. Wish they had a movie based off the Stars season =( Like a Crystal Tokyo special or something, that'd be EPIC ><

Wow it has everything....In mixed formatting, bad quality and insufficient bandwidth. :/

I would open a site like this but my provider would kill me because I only do high quality(bye bandwidth!). I just did side by side comparisons of voice demos in raw and dubbed. I prefer the Japanese voices. Looks like I'll have to stir up the Inferno today. Grabbing 200 episodes of Sailor Moon should only take me like 12 hours.

That's a really cute idea, but I don't think it would work so well. Helios was the protector of the Earth Kingdom while Fiore's a dream fairy thing. Their ears are way different.

I really can't decide which match up I like better, Chibi usa and Helios or Chibi usa and Fiore. Helios has got that more mature thing going which works well in the manga, but Fiore matches her younger attitude and look in the movie.

Come to think of it Chibi-usa matures a lot in the manga.

Meh, I consider HeliosxChibi-Usa cannon, while I consider PeruruxChibi-Usa fannon, as Helios was created by Naoko and is an original character of the manga- with all his ties with Chibi-Usa's parents in the past too- whereas Peruru was created by the SuperS movie team- and he was created to reflect Helios anyway without actually using Helios. Just like the Promise of the Rose movie, they had Fiore reflect Alan/Ann so they could essentially use the same characters without them actually BEING the same. Then the other movie they didn't need to really create anything based off the anime season of S because they took it directly from the special Naoko did. (graphic novel #11 between S and SuperS)
