lol. I think it's because of the fact that moonies seem to be looked down on sometimes by other fandoms that we're so accepting of each other in our own fandom. Kind of like we cling to what we can get, because they're the select few who understand where we're coming from.
I also think that Sailor Moon is often looked down on purely because people grew up with the English dubs (probably before they were really INTO anime and manga), and that's what they picture Sailor Moon as being. In other words, most of them are quickly turned off by the anime, so they shut out all ideas of sitting down to read the manga, which in my opinion has a lot more adult themes and aspects.
