As the title say I am searching for otehr Sailor Moon nerds. sadly none of my friends are into Sailor Moon, and I have no one to really talk to about it.
When I say Sailor moon nerds I don't mean people who enjoy watching just the dub, I mean people who watch it in original Japanese, seen sailor moon sailor stars, watch the musicals and Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon.

watch it, csplay it, breathe it, dream it, eat it.... kinda... i love sailor moon in all its forms.... even if part of pgsm made me a bit angry ("no thats not how its sposed to be THIS is sposed to happen!!!!")

and i very much prefer it in jap

I want to cosplay it sometime (Prince Diamond from the musicals is on my list of dream cosplays) but I don't have a lot of sewing skills yet.

And the way I see it PGSM is a paraell world to the anime/manga

Chan_Highwind is a big Sailor Moon fan. At KCon '10, she went as Sailor Uranus. Other people in our circle of friends are Sailor Moon fans, I just don't remember which ones have forum accounts, let alone who's who. As for me, I think it's an okay series. My first time watching was one of the movies ("S" I think), and I thought it was terrible; then again, I was new to the series and didn't get a lot of things. I've seen about half of the first season sine then, and that's not too bad. I've told Chan that I'd be willing to go as Sailor Neptune for her, most likely at KCon '12.

OMG I LOVE SAILOR MOON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'M A HUGE FAN!!! Although I'm sorry to say, I never got into anything live action, even Sailor Moon.

I totally understand how you feel when you don't have anyone to talk to about Sailor Moon. The thing about Sailor Moon is, a TON of people have seen it, even non-anime fans, but they've seen the American version. And while the Japanese version seems to be aimed more at girls around 13-18, America has ruined the series and turned it into a show more aimed at 8-12 year olds.

They've completely illiminated the lesbian relationship between Neptune and Uranus (which is rediculous, because they're one of the most famous lesbian anime couples of all time), and taken out ever crossdresser or gay character and changed the genders all up. XP

Man, I'm going off on a tangent because I never get to talk about this show. XD But I love it to death. This past year I cosplayed Tuxedo Mask. >w< It was fun fun fun.

@fangs: Yeah the dub ruined the show. I try to convince every the show is actually good but the dubbed ruined it for them.
Fisheye is a boy? (I've only seen the Anime, but I want to read the manga soon)

My FAVORITE ANIME EVER!!!! My room is dedicated to Sailor Moon with other anime thrown in.
Got two SM wallscrolls on both walls, got backpacks, markers, dolls, plushies, hair accessories, wands, books, jewelry, brooches, figurnies, keychains, live action and anime merchandise etc...

Got All the dub seasons 1-4 on VHS
All movies in dub on VHS
All the seasons 1-5 in Japanese on DVD
All the movies on DVD in Japanese
All the anime specials on DVD in Japanese
Got all of PGSM on DVD
And have most all the musicals on DVD with some fankans thrown in.
And all the manga

I write mostly SM fanfiction at my FF.net profile. I got my own fanstory based off of it I'm still working on and have been since 1998- I upload alot of those pics to my DevArt account- and up until 8th grade I wished that oneday a cat would some talk to me and I'd gain powers to fight in a school uniform... once I hit 14 I was sad cause that was past the age Usagi was xD

I will hopefully be cospaying Super Sailor Mars for Kcon 2011- depends if I can lose enough weight where I feel comfortable in that getup.

There was a good sized turnout for the SM photo shoot last year. If I remember correctly, the only scout not accounted for was Saturn. Neptune was also getting a little too physical with Uranus, though...

Haha, I don't think you'd fit in my closet. It's full of clothes and the shelves are where the majority of my SM collection are. xD

I tend not to go to photoshoot's unless I'm dressed as a character from the anime being photographed.

Not many pics of my Serenity cosplay were taken, which is fine by me xD I was still new to cosplay and you could totally tell. xD *shudders* I will make a better Mars~

I tried to make the Sailor Moon photoshoot this year, but I ended up going to something else. ;.;

I've been considering cosplaying Saturn, but I don't usually cosplay is girls. XP (Terra was my first female cosplay. lol)

We should do a mall meet-up sometime. :3 Since Sailor Moon is quite a recognizable anime, even to non anime fans. >w> I'd have to whip out my Tuxedo Mask cosplay.

I would argue with that last comment. The censorship of Sailor Moon back then sort of made sense when you consider that this country was more conservative with its childrens shows than it is today. Considering the decade+ of time that's transpired, (and that FUNimation tries to please the otaku and not the parent), I doubt that there would be much censorship.

That is true. People here are more accepting now of the idea that cartoons aren't just for kids.... we got Futurama, South Park, Family Guy and anime is more mainstream now as opposed to 1993.

And while I HATE DiC, I am glad it ended up in their hands as opposed to the horrors of "Saban Moon"

xD It's funny... I got the DiC version of SM playing right now for my little cousin (im NOT brainwashing, maybe...) trying to write a paper at the same time though is NOT happening... I keep cringing, snickering, and face palming... xD

Exactly. Plus, DiC gave us Inspector Gadget, which was an epic 80's cartoon.
