I might be able to have my mom take me, and if we take the van, I can take 5 others! Meaning if Saki and Taikei get their butts down here to Beaverton, I could take you both!!!

So, I totally was thinking about this earlier and I need some help.

Since this is a potluck sorta thing, i was thinking what to bring for Japan. Not too creative and not full of budget, an Italy recommended I bring lots of Cup O Noodles. What do you guys think about this plan? And if ya'll think its good, how do you think I get hot water for it? ideas? Please? ;w;

I thought about that, but I think I only have about one and if I bring enough ramen for everyone, I might not have enough hot water. Thermos's are pretty expensive (least ones I even see for sale are). At most I might be able to fill two ramens.

Hm, good idea. *goes to think of way several ramens wont spill on the way up.*

But until then Im trying to think of an alternitive if I can find a way to pack them up. (Not making riceballs.. flat out no ._. Plus I have o big money for sushi xD) Any ideas on something easy and cheap for an alternitive? Btw sorry to bug ya'll bout this xD

KyoKyo: Do you live near a Uwajimaya or an asian store in general? You could get red bean paste and sweet rice flour and make some mochi. Though Ramen might be the easiest option.
I also know that a lot of stores, not just asian ones, have this particular brand of packaged curry/curry mix called "Golden Curry" which is Japanese, I see it in a lot of supermarkets actually. It's really easy to make. You could make Kare Raisu, which is pretty much just that curry and a side of rice.
There are also some stores that have a box of tempura "mix" which usually isn't too hard to find.
I suppose for worst case scenario that nothing works and you can't find a good way to package up anything, you could just get some Japanese candy or something, I know some supermarkets have pocky and botan rice candy.

I don't recall if I updated or posted my status of attending in this yet. Since my Russia outfit needs some fixing I wouldn't be wearing that, if I get my Scotland wig in time and am able to style it I'll definitely try to attend. I know the owners of the Scottish Country Shop so they should be able to get me a good deal on Scottish snacks/treats and IRN-BRU. Right now my status is a maybe, but I at least wanted to mention that I am making the effort of going.
