Live Action GANTZ World Premiere tomorrow! (1/20/11)

Hey gang, Ally here, your happy go lucky Publicity Director!

Just got a line from VIZ MEDIA about the world premiere of GANTZ Live action feature film. The world premiere is a day away! Here is what they told me;


GANTZ in Nationwide Theaters!

A one night live event on January 20th (Thu)
8:00 pm ET/ 7:00 pm CT/ 6:00 pm MT/ 8:30 pm PT

This live-action feature, based upon the popular Japanese manga and anime series, is the ultimate survival game. It will be English over-dubbed exclusively for this big screen event. Following the feature, the two stars, Kazunari Ninomiya and Kenichi Matsuyama will participate in an exclusive interview from Hollywood, CA that will be broadcast live to over 300 theaters nationwide.


I did a bit of research and it looks like the Lloyd Center 10, Cedar Hills Crossing 16 (beaverton), Santiam 11 (salem) and the Cinemark 17 (springfield) are all showing the world premiere tomorrow, including the live broadcast of the interview with the actors.

If you don't know GANTZ the anime, you are missing out, it's a crazy ride, and the live-action version is sure to be quite a trip. I know our fans love to get out there and meet, cosplay and enjoy good Japanese pop culture, so if you don't have plans for thursday night, you do now!

Actually the West coast showings are taped.  I think it was 8:00pm East 7:00pm Central 6:00pm Mountain (all live) and 8:30pm Pacific (taped)  I don't suppose it really makes any difference to the audience though.
