Cosplay Ice-Skating @ Lloyd Center in Portland!

On Sunday, January 23, 2011, I plan on being in costume for some cosplay ice-skating.  It's the middle of January, over 4 months since Kumoricon, so who's up for a little random fun action?

I know this is last minute, but I really need to hang out with people who know how to have a fun time in costume out in public.  And we can chat about plans for upcoming conventions in person.

FYI: public skate is from 12:15-6 PM

Just to be on the safe side (and cheap side), maybe meeting up and hanging out at the food court would be a better idea...let me know what you think and what works for you

Since I have no clue as to all who is coming, it looks like we will be meeting in the food court and wing it from there.

I'd love to go, but a 24-hour notice is really short for me.  Also, none of my old cosplays would be adequate for this type of thing.  I'd have to wait until I get my new ones started, which won't happen until I get my tax return first.

I'm basically just trying to get people together to hang out and have some fun.  And it doesn't have to be a full costume, either.

I was wondering about that, to be honest.  I usually go with the date rather than the day of the week.

I don't think I've ever seen that before, myself, but then again, I usually stop reading these types of threads once the event is here.

I'd recommend calling them in advance.  Here, I looked up some numbers for you.

It says nothing on their website about it, so we can't be held responsible if that's the case.  All they can do is give us a warning for next time, and then we can ask them to post that info on their site.

And besides, we're paying customers. $$


It's probably if the costumes are not appropriate.

I think the only rules that apply with cosplay at Lloyd is no large groups (over...maybe ten or so), and no loitering (no groups standing in one spot doing nothing but talking. I suggest going up to the foodcourt if it's a group of people, because that's what they told us  at my Hetalia Christmas meetup last month)
