You know like how in Gurren Lagann when Kamina get's into his suit and that little sequence happens or when Transformers transform, or even when Naruto transforms.

Or Super Seiyan mode, all that. Which one is your favorite?

It's hard for me to say but, it's either when Sonic goes in to super sonic mode or in To-Love-Ru when Lala transforms into her new clothes.

Kore wa Zombie Desuka?
Currently I would say when a certain male zombie, by the name of Aikawa Ayumu, transforms into a Magically Equipped Girl, complete with frilly pink dress, striped panties, and a pink chainsaw.

The scene in episode...18 I think it was? Of Soul Eater, where everyone's getting ready to fight the Kishin. Granted, it was more of a 'change out of fancy clothes and into asskicking gear' sequence than an actual transformation, but it's close enough.

From Ai Yori Aoshi, she goes from airheaded rich girl, to intelligent hardworking, and sexy ideal woman right before your eyes. Okay so it took a few episodes.

Vandread. As it was a male/female combo to make the transformation, things got different. lol I could do with a Dita in my lap.

^ I'm not sure where I fall on the matter, but I heard one critic joke that Ayako Kawasumi was a good choice for Aoi - because Aoi was even more of a robot maid than her previous role as Mahoro in Mahoromatic. That's a difficult pitfall to avoid when writing a Yamato Nadeshiko, though.

My favorite transformation sequence: Like jaybug, character development. Writers who can believably change characters' personalities or my perceptions of them knock my socks off. Code Geass was flawed, but I loved the fact that the writers managed to do that to me repeatedly. (My apologies for not really answering the intended subject.)

I like how the girls in PPGZ transform and in Sailor Moon.
Maybe it's just me but I like the pretty lights and stuffs.

In video games...I like how they transform in Hyperdimension Neptunia.

Perhaps not my favorite of all time, but of note is Puella Magi Madoka Magica Episode 12. The whole thing is basically the worlds longest Mahou Shoujo henshin sequence, if you think about it. I won't say any more, to avoid spoilers, but it was spectacular.

Not sure I would call it my favorite, but I do like the transformation of Hazuki Kurumi in Kaitou Tenshi Twin Angel: Kyun Kyun Tokimeki Paradise!!. I like the fact that she is self conscious about her brief nudity during the transformation, and looks both left and right with a glare on her face to see if anyone was watching.

It cracks me up every time.

Ulquiorra Schiffer's transformation into his second resurrection.

And Grimmjow's transformation into a panther was pretty cool too.

The Sailor Moon R transformation sequence was also a favorite of mine.
