This past Tuesday the next edition of one of the most legendary fighting game franchises is coming out. A game that fans have waited 10 years to come out. With a rooster of characters, some new to the series, others old favorites, this is going to be the fighting game for years to come.

Characters on the Capcom side are Marvel Characters are

Not too thrilled with the Capcom roster, but at least it's a decent variety of Capcom games.

Is it available for the PS2?

I was soooooooooooooo happy Hsien-ko got put in.

All I know is that I will be playing with her and Tron Bonne. I will see who's my 3rd when the game comes out.

yup gonna pass on this game I heard it was a 3 button game so ill pass. Maybe when it hits 20 dollars ill buy it. Not very thrilled how the roster went from havin less characters from mvc2. They should of put all character from previous and the new ones. But hey am pretty sure the game is unbalanced like the previous one.

More of a 4 button game but whatever, the lowered character count is fine by me most the characters in MVC2 were pretty much clones or shotos. And word from the pros is the game is defiantly more balanced, but only time will tell what the tiers look like.

I need a good fighter game, is their anything better than this or is this one you especially recommend?

I have a PS3 and a PC. (I didn't check yet, but if this game is for PC I'm totally getting it.)

The characters seem pretty cool here.

This is going to be a good one, but if you prefer one that's not as over the top try Super Street Fighter 4, or if you want crazy complex go with BlazBlue

I just found out that the Competitive Gamers Club at Clark College will be having a tournament focusing on this game on Friday. There's going to be prizes! I'm not sure on the time, though. I think it's 12-5, but I'm probably wrong on that...

I think it's only available for the PS3 & XBOX 360, but I'm not sure on that. I do know that it is NOT available for the PS2.

I'm really beginning to feel that I'm losing out by not having either of those consoles. My only current generation console is a Wii. I think Sony has phased out the PS2 completely.

At least we still have Soul Calibur III. (I wish I could play IV though. They have a Keroro Gunso unlockable character in it for goodness' sake.)

They still release new games for the PS2, but they're so few of them. At least this is according to the last time I went into a GameStop. Their page for PS2 games had only 3 or 4 titles on it.

Last time I went into one, the only PS2 games were in the Used display, massively discounted.

The only new Ps2 games you'll be seeing in the future are cheap cash in sports and movie titles, and wii grade shovel ware crap.

I heard theres barely any modes and unlockable stuff for this game!

Im just a person that needs to play for some good reasons. Although I know the gameplay style is great.

If or when I get this game, Im gonna go crazy with Dante and Spiderman.

It's a fighter all you need is arcade mode, trial, challenge, and online. Everything else is useless gimmicks.
The reasons to play are to hone your skills and have the best time you can.

For the Ps2 the sports titles you're getting are low rent, low res, and low on features versions of the current gen game, especially Madden where one of the main focuses now is online play. It's just not wise to continue investing in a practically dead platform, it'll just cost you in long run where you're getting no where near as much bang for your buck.

All of these I don't argue with, which is why for any and all Maddens to have come out since '07, I've rented them for the experience (BTW, I hate laterals). I love '07 a lot, and until I find myself in a financially stable enough situation to get a PS3, it'll do just fine for now.
