My dad nicknamed me "Digger,' after his brother, Dig. There is this cute little Japanese girl named Tamika who was having trouble remembering my name, Derek. So my dad suggested she call me by my nickname. Well, she either misheard him or couldn't pronounce it right because for the last 5 years every time she sees me she screams, "HI TIGGER!!!!!"

It is far too cute for me to ever correct her ^________^

I have Sarge, not exactly cute, but a nickname none the less.
It comes from my last name, Sargent.
Another that comes through that is Sergeant B****, because I'm always really friendly to everyone, and it's ironic (Their reasoning, not mine)

Then there's Kyle, which is because my first name is Katie and if I were a man my name would be Kyle.

There's also Melissa, which has a long story behind it. I was in a playground (a locked one >.>) and my friend Nikkie walked up and said, laughing: "I want the red one! Please, please?!"
Then my friend Packy jumped over the fence and chased me down, then proceeded to pretend to drag me over to the fence. Nikkie then named her new "pet" (me) Melissa.

Yupyupyup
Those are the main ones.

I've been called Frenchy by my friend's mom because of my nationality. xD

My uncle also calls me Pookie (don't know why), and my mom called me Pinky when I was a baby... She still does sometimes. =w=;;

Oh and at one point in middle school, I received the codename Sweet Pea by a friend who would send me notes in class and address me by that name so that no one would know who it was written to. xD

I'm sure I've had other nicknames from a while back but these were the only memorable ones that came to mind.

Yeah um, mine is reppy obviously.. A long time ago, when I was like 10 or 11, one of the first names I ever used online and/or on bulletin board systems was "reptile".  Since that was sort of a popular name, especially since Mortal Kombat 2 came out around that time, I usually had to use some variation of reptile with underscores or a dash at the end.  People started calling me "reppy", "repp0r", or "reppah" instead so I started using reppy and all those other variations when reppy is in use. ^^

My hacker friends don't give me a nickname. They know what I'll do to them if they do. x_X'

Dirk, Derka
For some reason my fast reading speed and this order made me miss the comma and I can see one or both of these nicknames devolving into derpa derp. This would be a horrible comedy goldmine in retail environments full of customers. ;D

I dunno if it's cute, but I've had people calling me Malaria since forever, 'cause it sounds just like my real name. Lera is my traditional nickname, and pretty much my whole family and a few friends call me that. A few people have tried to make Leri happen, but it's never really stuck.

Back in middle school and high school, my nickname was The Sage.  This was due to my skills with writing poetry.  The story on how it started was pretty funny, too.

In my English class, all of us students (except for 5 of us) were boys; out of the boys, I was the only one that was looking forward to the poetry assignments for the class.  As we were doing our assignments, one guy did all of his poems about why he hated poetry.  Another guy would scream out "THE SAGE HAS SPOKEN!" every time.  Now, while we were still focused on poetry, the teacher decided to swap the seating arrangement for the class.  Now, I was sitting next to "The Sage" of the class.  I read a poem (a haiku, I believe) that made my new seat buddy slam his hands on the desk and bellow out, "Make HIM the freakin' Sage!"  From that point on, I was called The Sage at various moments at school.

A lot of people call me Bunny or Usagi-chan... And there are some other people who also call me Amea-chan. (It's the short variation of Ameagari, another nickname of mine... Ameagari was a nickname that has a long story to it.)

@The Sage, that's kind of awesome.  :P

I was Alana Bear for most of my childhood, so much so that I actually thought that was my name and introduced myself as such. Most people now just drop the first 'a' and go with 'Lana'. I don't really mind them, but I like it best when people call me by my last name, though it doesn't happen often, because I don't really like my first one (and also because my last name means 'to smother with a pillow', no joke).

Most of my nicknames are embarrassing names given by family members or mean names given by bullies. >:

The only one I can think of that isn't either of those is Fraulein, or Auleinfray (Fraulein in pig-latin). Fraulein is German for :miss", and my mom just started calling me that a couple years ago. Not sure why.

I've had my share of nicknames, surprisingly though I really don't have any that a lot of people call me by.... So here's my little list. =]

-Dewey/Dubaby: My mom has called me Dewey as a form of endearment for most of my life (to the point most of my friends thought it was my middle name) but it's actually just a shorter form of Dubaby which my mom called me when I was little since I would walk around asking for juice all the time, but instead pronounced it as "Duuuuuuuuuu....."

-Alice Jr.: My dad calls me this a lot as a joke... whenever he's teasing my mom he calls her Alice (her middle name) and since my mom and I are so similar he does the same thing to me but with a 'Jr.' added to the end.

-Shorty: Most of my friends in middle school had nicknames, and sadly a lot of people just knew me as ths super short kid so 'shorty' was born. lol.

-Double S: This one actually lasted through all of my sophmore year, and had to do with a joke surrounding the fact that I was 16 while most of my friends were seniors and 18 so there was a lot of stuff they couldn't do while I was around....

Kiddo/Topo: One of my best friends used to always call me Kiddo since he was a couple years older than me, he was also fluent in a bunch of languages and used to call me 'Topo' all the time which is short for Topolina, an italian term meaning little mouse or something along those lines...

Schatzi: I was really good friends with a German exchange student my Junior year, we even got married at the Sadies Hawkins Dance! LoL. He used to always refer to me as his 'American Wife' when we were in groups and Schatzi when we'd be chatting, which I found out later meant little treasure. WHY MUST THE CUTE BOYS BE FOREIGNNNNNN! D=

There's some other ones that I'm probably missing (There are people who have called me Kat or Kait before... just PLEASEEEE don't call me Katie. There was a kid when I was growing up who would always yell out 'Katie' to get my attention and then punch me in the stomach... wtf) but these are the ones that really stand out to me and that remind me of really good times that have passed. =]

Sorry for ranting, but I just went into MAJOR nostalgia mode. XD

I never really had nicknames unless you wanna count the obnoxiously annoying things my mother used to and still does call me sometimes x.x
My real name is Ireta [eye-ree-tah], and not a lot of nicknames there except  "Rita" which I never cared for. My girlfriend gave me the nickname of Re-re a awhile back and that's what my friends tend to call me. Riitah is a way one of my old friends spelled my name and I've loved it since so I use it a lot for things.

Oh yeah. My sister's boyfriend and his little brother (which is my best friend) call my sister Pitchfork, and call me Trident.
She was drunk once and described her and her boyfriend's relationship as a pitchfork because "we are together...but not at the same time..." and they call me trident because I told them about my dream I had and there was a trident involved, and I couldn't think of the name, so when Jake said 'Trident', I said 'BINGO!'

Also, we call my sister Puddles...Because me and Jake got it into our head, that she is like a dog. So, if she was a dog, her name owuld be Puddles.

Chantal: the real name, the origin.

Chauna/Chaun: pronounced Shawna and Shawn.

Monkey Girl: They couldn't keep me out of trees. And gymnastics didn't help.

Kyi: from my middle name; Kyrie. Which comes from the saying Kyrie elesion... which means God have mercy.
-Kyire: the first online alias of mine. As well as a mispelling of mine for most of my life.

Chantaru/Chan/Chan-chan: self translated first name. Only three people call me Chan-chan openly and are normally sucking up for something. I've been called Chan by half of all who know me.

Chance/Chancey:  what most people on MySpace know me as.

CK: the new family Nick name that came out of no where.

Take your pick. <3

Pfft, I forgot my most ridiculous/nonsensical nickname: Hugnkiss. It's because my eighth grade core teacher always used to accidentally call me Amanda, which always made him think of the prank call "I'm looking for Amanda Hugnkiss (A man to hug 'n kiss)". This led to some hilarity, given his propensity for weird nicknames. He once called on my partner and I to present in front of the class and nobody knew who he was talking about because he called on "Hugnkiss and He Who Draws Prostitute Monkeys Being Eaten By Dinosaurs." ...Yeah, he was pretty cool.
