Again, unrelated, but what disgusted you about those disasters? Just curious.
****** *** ****** ** *** ****** ********* ** *** ***** ****** ******* ********* ********* ***** **** **** ****** I'll state the obvious for good measure:
Katrina was the worst natural disaster to hit America in a long time and it
continues to devastate American budgets and jobs by infecting my tax forms with data that shouldn't be there and giving priority to those that don't seriously need our help anymore. It's been years. The victims have either recovered or died. Period. The way media tried to cover up how poorly the disaster was handled and how awful the situation became after mediocre help efforts caused it to be far worse than it should have ever been and made an even bigger mess when the first solution attempts were applied. The ranks among the dead were either ones that stood the course or couldn't afford to flee. Large segments of evacuees resisted efforts to get jobs and unchain themselves from our government dependency. It reached a point where they sued to force taxpayers to keep paying for their sloth and greed.
I like how we keep killing the good people and then turn around and give a free ride to every degenerate in this country. Ted Williams being the latest example of this stupid behavior. We gave free room, board and cable to anyone with a complete lack of responsibility and we wonder what's wrong with our budget these days.
There were constant lies, cover-ups and few genuine concerns over Katrina and Haiti. Guess how this is going to go with Japan? It was hard enough to describe the damage done to the country but the political drama is going to find a way to permanently blow this completely out of proportion for weeks to come. This is why I'm going to ignore the news until everyone finally shuts up about this. Japan is no stranger to the kind of damage a tsunami does to their country. They're the ones that named the damn thing. Japanese on Skype have been calling me every day to describe the situation but right now it seems that the quake, tsunami and being homeless are the least of their concerns. I keep hearing and reading more about nuclear disaster than anything. They're definitely more focused than we'll ever be. It makes me sad.
Do you know now what a microsievert is?
I know enough to stay away from the toxic levels.
I assume DaemonForce meant the same, that the response to the disasters was disgusting.
No. Let me make this as painfully clear as I can: The entire thing from start to finish completely disgusts me. The disaster, lack of preparation/action, how it was reported, how it was filmed, how much fraud was involved in the whole rescue plan...I don't want to think about it right now though. You know I have enough hate in my system.
It almost sounded like in his eyes those disasters were disgusting in and of themselves, inferior or undeserving of help or something.
Actually now that you mention it, there were some people that were undeserving of our help. ***** ****** ******** of the fraud that went on 5+ months after the initial rescue plan but even if I were given several months of free stays at 5 star hotels that like to charge $450/night I would still look for a job rather than suck on the treasury the entire time. Sometimes there's a limit to the insanity I can handle and that's pretty much the breaking point for me.
