Break on price?
« on: August 29, 2005, 10:34:21 am »
Hello,
I brough my 3 kids (and 5 of my eldest's friends too!) to Kumoricon last year and they all had a GREAT, GREAT time and are very much looking forward to this year. Alas, (and *gulp*) the price may be a tad prohibitive for me!  Is there any way possible to get a discounted "One-day-just-to-look-at-stuff-and-be-wowed-by-the-Cosplayers" pass?  My kids are 15, 11 and 9 -- LOVE, LOVE, LOVE everything Anime/Manga and would be heartbroken if their dad was unable to bring them -- which of course would be another $40 for him.  I really can't afford $160 for four hours of Kumoricon

You can get one day passes, I can't remember the prices off the top of my head.
And now I'm a catgirl?

I hope someone who knows will answer soon... my 15 year old is pretty upset because I already told her she could go -- but that was BEFORE I knew the prices.

I know the answer!  =^~.~^=

One day passes are available for $20 at the registration desk.  The price will drop to $15 on Monday, when there will be a little less stuff happening due to the con ending earlier.  While a one-day pass is only for that day, it doesn't have any other restrictions at all on it.

The $40 is only if you want a pass for all 3 days.

PezCat mentions the prices for just one day.

Wow, if I had known there were one-day passes to begin with, I would've gotten one instead of one for the entire weekend! This is my first convention, and I had the sole intention of only being there for one day.

Is there a possibility that I could get any of that money back, or am I screwed? :?
