Author Topic: Kumoricon Ball and Raves 2011 (move if needed) (Read 15035 times)

So, every convention has the dances. The Raves and the Ball.

You know this is going to be a good year, the balls and raves are so easy to do. All closet cosplays as long as you can pull it off. Last year for the ball Oslapedo did a really good Formal Meiko, and StarryShay did a great Nia~ The raves were fun too, expecially the circles. Anyone got any plans in mind?

I'm doing a Genderbent Deidara for the Rave, and maybe a Sakura for the second rave, though I'm not sure.
For the ball, my dress could work for anyone, Emily Adachi from Air Gear(depends on if Blender can go to con), or Sakura, Hinata if I can find a Naruto or Sasuke. Namine for the ball is a maybe too, just a give in.

Whose doing what for the ball this year? Whose doing what for the rave this year?

For the rave, I'm doing cyber-rave Axel.

For the ball, I'm doing Moka from Rosario+Vampire in a prom dress basically.

Hey sis you will have to help me decide what to wear. You know all that I have. We will have to go to dollar store and pick up a lot of the glow sticks.

I'll be attending the Rave as Canada ...
But I don't know if I'll go to the ball ... if I do, I'll be dressed up as Canada for that as well, in his world conference suit.
Would love to find an America or England to hang with for either of these!

I think for the Ball I'm going to go as Formal Megurine Luka.

I'm most likely going to the ball as Formal!Simca with my bf as Ikki but I don't think I'm going to cosplay to the Rave because I don't like how sweaty the wig makes me. So unless I can find a character to use my normal hair for, I'm going as Rave!Colleen to the Rave.

Is the ball this year a Masquerade? I don't think last year was but the year prior was and a mask of some sort was mandatory. I don't like the mask that I have. I would like to know so I can get a better looking mask. Thanks

And I don't think the rave is mask required so Im not going to worry about the rave.

I'm most likely going as Sebastian, with my ciel in a dress (not the pink one from the series), Undertaker in a suit, Grell in a dress, and the servants in formal gear
and for the rave, most likely me and my ciel shall rave up our costumes I'm not sure of everyone else

For the Ball I'm going as Jack Vessalius from Pandora hearts , His outfit is already formal , like..very formal.
I HOPE theres a masqurade D: i have a mask i made for sakuracon but never used.

Excited to see how the raves are for K-con. I've never gone to this con, or it's raves, but I dunno if they could beat Sacramento...

Anyways. For the ball I'll be doing Raven in his normal attire from Pandora Hearts (seeing as it's very formal as well) and going with my Break.
Raves... unsure. Possibly some rave/glowy outfit but no character cosplays, not a fan of wearing wigs in raves. D: well. maybe. xD

I really have no idea...
I probably wont actually do any of the dances. Raves give me headaches and the ball is never that good b/c no one really dances >.< (is a waltz fan)

FFFFF *pokes jaw* I am glad we can cause excitement! <3 From what I hearrr the dance isn't that exciting? Soooo we'll join together as one big happy PH partay and make it exciting
I think I posted on the photoshoot board~ But I haven't checked to see if we've been added to the list though. :'D

Hey guys, sorry to ruin the party but there will not be a Ball at Kumoricon this year. Even though we are in two hotels, space is still a commodity and it just didn't fit into the schedule this year.

The raves are still go... both nights they start at 10pm and run to 3am (midnight for the minors).

We have DJ's lined up to play the raves both nights... so we won't be changing one to a Ball.

I understand that this is a disappointment for some people, but we just didn't have the space this year. Our guest are working really hard for us this year, and the Ball just got edged out. It can always be re-evaluated next year.

Slow dancing in the Park...I'm down with that! I can bring the boom box and y'all just need to bring me some nice slow music. I can drag at least 6 others with me that I know were Ball disappointed.
