How do I wash a wig? That is the one thing that HAS to be done, they're so frizzy...

washing a wig wont get rid of the fizzyness. Wig fibers bend and that is what is most likely causing the friz and there isn't really anything that can be done to fix it (or at least I haven't found anything). The best bet, and I know you don't want to hear this, is to buy a new wig. Though to answer your question http://wigsalon.com/wigwashalta.html if you google how to wash a wig there is thousands of tutorials and instructions.

Woo...I'll type my panic even though I should be working XD..I'll work after this post.
I have a empire waist dress, add ears and a tail to a kigurumi suit, a kimono like dress, lace neck piece to another empire waist, ears to attach to a jacket, 2 different boot covers, a white shirt, and make a rainbow bias tape (via sewing together individual squares) and putting it on the bottom of a shirt and a jacket that I finished today ;A;

I didn't do anything today. T.T My brother slept all day so I couldn't sew (sewing room is right next to his bedroom) but maybe I can get some night time sewing in...?

I'm panicking about two K-con related things, one being a cosplay and the other being transportation.

First, I ran out of leaves for my boyfriend's costume. Gotta go get more. Worried it won't be finished in time. AHHHH. Its hard to bring myself to work on. But I must.

Second, planning stresses me out. Planning multiple courses of action when the situation is uncertain really stresses me out. Having many peices still not in place less than two weeks to the event and still trying to pull them together while working on many other things is enough to make my heart decide to run a marathon, then decide its quitting time, turning me into a panicked Slakoth, ready to claw at anything coming too close to my spot of decided lounging.

Panicking isn't fun. Planning for uncertain events is nearly impossible. I need more money in general. Thats completely unrelated to all but possible modes of transportation.

guuhh, went to walmart today hoping to get some yellow felt so i could finally finish my freaking Raichu tail but they didn't have any. not even in felt squares. GGRRAAAAH. I wanna get that cosplay done! oh, they also didn't have boots usable for Heather. disappoint. Time to go play left 4 dead 2 by myself.

Lol I do the same thing, going to the store thinking "how could they NOT have it?" and end up disappointed!

As for me, I'm no expert at sewing and costume-making. >< I'm having to redo a part of my cosplay because it ended up looking like crap. >

I hate spending endless hours on it and then realizing... it's not going to work out. ;_;

it's bright glow in the dark blue contacts-- i thought it wouldve been cool if i got it coz of the glow effect-- then after i pressed the buy button i realized that it wont do me any good at a well lit convention "oTL

I am working on smoothing out my blades so I am putting resin over them (I also really like the gloss effect it has). So at most it will take a day for the resin to dry (that is if it cures right) and I need to do the other side so that will be two days, then touching up the paint (I should only be painting the gold part so it wont be so bad) and that should take a day. Hopefully the rest looks ok but if now I will sand it out then do another layer of resin for the gloss finish.

Have neither cosplays done, realized i forgot to order my frog clasps over my family trip so i'll have to make them. The family friend i asked to help me make a pattern three month ago, but then later called and said i don't need it cause she took so long, called yesterday saying she needed to fit me for it o____o have to go straighten that out. ugh i think she was hungover when we called and told her were fine cause she denies ever getting the call....
At least i'm almost done with my cosplays.... too bad i don't have any school work done as well

~~Dye poly lace~~ done 8/12 and failed, so scrapped
Finish top except applique (may move to after skirt...) [[1/2 day]]
~~Test ruffling~~ done 8/12
Skirt [cage skirt at 5%, everything else is ready to be gathered and put into waistband {ie 95%}, on 8/25] (bows, ruffles, cage skirt) [[should take 1-2 days]]
Arm thing [[should take 1/2 day]]
Dye ponytails [[3 hours?]]
Black and red ribbon things [[1 hour]]
Hair and waist beading [[2-3 hours]]
Ankle bows [[1-1.5 hours]]
Get insoles, eyelash glue, other make up [[2 hours of errands]]
~~Dye~~ [done 8/14] and sew on applique (may move to end...) [[however much time I have at the end of this week]]
~~Legs if time~~ No time
If small amount of time: make padding and buy aqua tights and eyeshadow or bodypaint [[1-2 days for padding]]
If no time: go without, buy skin colored tights

Gaaaaah. I've been so burnt out on working on my cosplays that nothing has really gotten done like I wanted. I woke up early today planning to work on some things before work and ended up playing pokemon and reading a book. Go me.

Luckily I have tomorr- er, today off. The plan is to suck it up and get at least two of my cosplays done and then slowly spend the last days leading up to con on the other two. If they don't get done, at least I have half done and that'll suffice for me.

Yeah I'm uh, freaking out a little bit. For my Medic cosplay I have to put together a medigun, finish sewing my coat, get my rubber gloves in time (Ebay, don't fail me now!), and figure out some better ways to do female-male makeup. Heh. So. I'm a little worried.
