Hello guys and dolls, seeing as that con is coming ever so much closer

who else is starting to pull out the coffee and prep for all nighters to make sure everythings finished on time?

I vote we make this a thread of, near panic rush to finish costumes on time for K con, thread.

So, how far are you all away from finishing? Going to finish on time? And please tell me I'm not the only one pulling all nighters working now.

Devyrae: Yikes, my friends going through that making cosplays for other things. Having a hell of a time with it. I feel bad for it but she really helped me out with mine so far.

I just fixed my sewing machine the other night and I worked today so I couldn't do much.
I'm working on maybe moving again so I'm trying to juggle everything at once! D:

The only "finished" cosplay is a closet one I tossed together because my friend wanted a Rook for her Ruko for the photoshoot and I just so happened to own everything for him.
Umbreon will be my first finish as I just have to sew the skirt together. I might have to alter or redo it because it looks a little funky since my sewing machine broke in the middle of working on it. :/
Then Sailor V is next even though nothing is done on her. I'm not too worried about Sasuko this year.

I need to make a massive amount of armor and put my horns together with my wig, but other than that I just need to do some hemming. If I do much more armor making I may break my back, though.

Oh, and I need to finish weathering my blaster for Time War Doctor. Finding my cravat pin (in addition to being impossible) would probably be a moot point, since I'll probably end up wearing it mostly untied anyway.

Need to find my waraji and tabi for Matsumoto though. They have disappeared~ into the abyss~ I have no freaking idea where they are~

Umm just a simple sugestion, for my boyfriends Raichu tail we put velcro (sp?) on the bottom (where it attaches to the pants, _{or dress in your case}) and put velcro on the pants to keep it down there (plus safety pins are always helpfull there) and used safety pins to pin it up by the shoulder where the tail curves. . .If that makes any sense >.<;;

Thank you for the tips! I actually have velcro stripes holding my ears onto my headband XD I'll be sure to keep a lot of safety pins on hand when it comes time to attach the tail.

For the flame, I suggest cellophane or the colored plastic stuff they use for stage lights. As for contacts, I don't know about opaque or circle lenses, but I really like Acuvue 2 Colors. I got them in brown last year. They're especially good if you need a prescription.

Haha, as I'm on vacation in Canada, I realized how much time I have left and am anxious to get home. xD
I'm barely started with my cosplay (the gloves are frustrating orz) and I'm to make my friend's cosplay. I also made the cosplay for my other friend, but I need to adjust it to fit.

I didn't cosplay last year due to lack of time and greatly regret not losing sleep to finish it. I'll do my best this year!

omg, so downloading an app for my iphone that counts down to k-con was NOT the best idea i've had... i've been freaking out about getting things done since it said "30 days 10 hrs 15 mins and 8 secs" (maybe not literally that time, but u know what i mean). i JUST ordered my gloves for my Soi Fong outfit (cause i went as her last year, but forgot about the gloves), and i was just gunna be her, but i wanna cosplay as someone other than her b/c like no one comes up to say hi to soi fong (and sumtimes a cosplayer needs a lil love). i'm trying to figure out who i can play tho, cause i dont wanna have to make sumthing too complicated seeing as how i now have only 19 days, 9 hours, 2 mins, and 48 secs.

Got myself a gun barrel last night....got to love Home Depot.  They even cut the PVC pipe to the lengths I needed.  Gonna drill out the hole and install the barrel tonight.  Woot!!!  Need to unpack a few boxes though so I will start sealing tomorrow.
