Running out of time- the panic thread

Im almost done with 3 out of 4 of my cosplays.
Terezi- All I need is to finish my shirt and get my hands on black lipstick + red shoes
Ness- All I need is red shoes and a yellow backpack
Silver- Finish sewing on zipper and bias tape on jacket

The only thing Im worried about is finding red tennis shoes my size.
I WILL FIND THEM

After that all I need to do is help my friends.
-help make coat for Crystal
-make young Luke Hat
-style Jeff Wig + help make a boozuka (AWWWWW YEAAAAAAH)

I have to get over my phobia of putting in my red contacts. I spent $30 on them and I'm gonna damn well wear them.

I feel ya there. I have red contacts for Midna that I had a hell of a time getting in the first time ;-; Took me an HOUR to put in one.... ONE! ;~; But it was easier the second time. Just gotta breathe and be patient with yourself, especially if you have never worn contacts before, like me.

Just ordered my contacts. The latest they'll get here is Sept 1st xD And I'm ordering my wig and body paint tomorrow. I know the wig'll get here within 6 days, but hopefull the body paint will get here in time lol. I can't remember how long the shipping takes.

If you are from the Beaverton area there is a year round Halloween store around Canyon and Hwy 217 (across from the Fred Meyer).  They have great top hats there for around $20 - $25.  I've found lots of great accessories there as well.

So far I hate my mother's sewing machine, I have been working on this frickin' jacket for Utena. I am on my second try. The first try It took a week to get as far as I did and then I reliezed it was WAY TOO SMALL. Like I put it on and my arms were chaffing the sleeves were so small. Now I am on my second try and I have all of the jacket part done but now my mothers sewing machine has crapped out on me and I have to wait until A) my mother comes and fixes it or B) I go over to my friends house and use her sewing machine which I can't do until I get ahold of her. THEN I have to sew on all those details AND make the duelist uniform details. THOSE SHOULDER THINGS JFSLJAL:JDLAKJDA. So I REALLY want to finish it. I don't even have buttons on it yet FFFUUUU

List of what I have to do
Make jacket base again
Sew on red biase tape to the whole frickin thing- in process
other details (yellow triangle things, Red pocket things, white flaps for pocket things)
sew Duelist details (Cuffs, Frilly thing and white things)
Make shoulder things (hot glue white things onto shoulder things clay for rim paint)
Velcrow shoulder things to jacket
Put on buttons or make a zipper or something.
Make ring

I am so close yet so far and this will be so much harder with out a not crappy machine I do not know how to fix/work/anything with.

Smooth out rough edges on blades for X-2 Rikku
Finish painting blades
Add yellow string to boots for x-2
Fix the crooked hem on the skirt also for x-2

    -Find decent pantyhose or skin tone shorts
    -To make the collar and cuffs

   And I still need to get binding for both. :/ I'm glad my friend and I are going shopping for my stuff on tuesday.

Well now I am not in too much of a rush I was able to finish alot with the help of my friend. But now we have to fix the jacket again. Time to seam rip like no tomorrow (at least it is only the sleeve)

Yeah I heard about that.  We will be picking you up in troutdale after the pre party.  around 930 ish then its bed time cause you will have to get to the registration line really early.  we will probably drop you in line and run to get something that resembles breakfast and bring it back to you to eat.  O yeah I forgot.  We are planning on hitting a winco thursday night, if you want to give kitkat some $$ and a shopping list we can pick stuff up for you.

Ben nye is the best as far as body paint goes. You need to get a base and the you'll need powder. No not colored powder, clear powder. Dab on a lotta that stuff and it will hold all your grey trolly goodness in instead of smudging it all over the hotel.

There are a few year round costume and halloween shops in Portland that carry these sorts of cosmetics. Not all carry Ben nye but it might be a bit too late to order off line. Make sure you test it on your skin as well so you dont have any allergic reactions.

Halloween Warehouse is a year round one. Party city carries halloween make up year round (warning though they dont have the best quality products but they'll do in a pinch.)

I generally shop on line so I dont really know. But they'll have some sort of product to help you. Just make sure you get powder. If they dont have powder a cosmetic or theater store will. Basically it just holds all the makeup in.

I'm not panicing too much anymore. All I have left to do for my cosplays is sew a tiny hole in a glove, attach my claw to the other glove, and finish smoothing out my blades. Two of those will take a total of 10 minutes and the other is just waiting for the glue to dry each time I put it on so I can put another layer on. I may also buy some half spheres to add some more detailing to the blades. There is about 8 bolt looking things between the gold part on the red circle of Rikku's blades that a lot of people leave out. My cosplay is almost done, I'm debating if I should dye my wig or not. I also have to get money for food and spending, not sure how that's going to work out. But I'm very excited for the con.

Okay, panicking. I've got a lot left to do, and some unexpected things have come up so it turns out that instead of 1.5 weeks, I have more like one week to finish everything. Plus, I've modified the design for the wing/dress getup.

TO DO:                                                TIME ESTIMATE:
Finish wings and back-harness - - - - - - - 1 days (plus drying)
Finish wig, let dry, add layer of paper - - - 1/2 day (plus drying)
Make dress and front-harness - - - - - - - 2 days (plus fixing mistakes)
Finish second mask, fix up first mask - - - Several hours (plus plenty of drying)
Do feet; toesocks, sandals, nails - - - - - A few hours
PAINT EVERYTHING - - - - - - - - - - - -  2 days (plus drying and touch-ups)

...Adds up to just about a week. I think I can do this! Sleep is for when I'm dead.
