Furries!

Just out of curiosity, is anyone else on here a big fan of those big, cuddly, anthropomorphic animals? :3
I'm actually rather new to the fandom, but they're really starting to gropw on me fast. Almost as fast as my anime obsession.

I am a greymuzzle that been in the fandom since 2006. There will be a few of us at Kumoricon and perhasp a fursuiter or two.
I also on furtopia.
I did try to keep pdx furs going, can't win the all.
I thinking of doing a furries in anime / furries 1010 panel next year.

Mine is a black and grey wolf with read hair named Kuhori. And my fiance's is a lime green and black wolf with a red Mohawk named Grave =D

anyone know the rules for furries in the hotel? Last year a bunch of hotel people told me that I couldn't wear my Boma mask into the hotel BUILDING. It totally ruined my cosplay... So, where can't we wear masks that cover our face and where can we?

You cannot wear masks where you can be visible from the street.  So, if people want to hang out in fursuits I would suggest the second floor of the Hilton if possible. 

I think this has more to do with city rules than just hotel policies, but I would need to research that to be sure.

I had that problem last year in the Hilton, they had a no-mask policy in the lobby but were fine everywhere else. Wtf.

I had no problems this year whatsoever! Everyone was extremely positive, I was shocked. I expected SOME negativity. Of course there were a couple people who were scared of mascot-style costumes, so I left them alone, but that's common courtesy. You don't just walk up and touch someone without permission. XD

I deal with furry haters the way i deal with any fandom haters.

By not dealing with them.

Rock on! Good job Kumoricon! I've always been proud of our convention's acceptance of "unorthodox" or "non-anime" costumes.

I caught some kind of leopard at in my rave video and I believe I have a bit of your wolf in closing ceremonies during the chair rave.

I also did not have a single problem with people when I was in my fursuit. Everyone was so polite and loved my suit. It was fantastic!

Although I did get in trouble in the Hilton with both Kuhori AND Jager cause of their masks. But it was not by the front desks. It was by the main events room with all those glass doors. I was told "if you are visible outside the windows you need to take off any masks"
I was like wait what? They made me take off Kuhori but with Jager they said they'd let me by o-o

Oh yeah im not into yiffing either...at all lmao, I avoid anything yiff related at all costs. I just love fursuits and the art...clean art haha! But mostly fursuiting =D

Nekomimis are not furries. They dont have anthro or whatever you call them heads or paws.

Plus, nekomimis get really offened when labled as a furrie

I suppose you could say that my wife, daughter, and I are, if not exactly furries, at least well known in furry circles.
My wife Shelley, used to sell her prints at Northwest Furfest. many years ago, before KumoriCon even started.  You can see some of her work here if you want.  She still does commissions.

We also have done a mascot costume for our daughter of Silver the Hedgehog, you may have seen it around at the con.

Funny you should mention Cats Don't Dance.  Shelley has been running the Unofficial Cats Don't Dance Fan-site since 1997.  She has probably done more fan art for that movie than anyone else.
