Hey, I have to say I had no idea what any of the homestuck cosplays were at kumoricon last year, and up until I got on the recommendation from a cool person I met at a meet up two weeks ago I hadn't even known what it was. I've just know gotten to the end (so far) and now I know that I have to cosplay as dave next Convention. I'm thinking that I'll just get several dave cosplays and just be a time traveling Dave. I already almost have a complete dave cosplay from when he was in the Lohac exchange(swindling all those crocs out of there hard earned boonbucks). I definatly want to get his red suit and possibly his god tier as while. I need a little help finding a wig though. Anybody know where I can find one?

omfg it's been too long since I've been on here. orz

But I just wanted to check in I guess. :3
My Tavros cosplay is almmosssttt done--just need to paint the horns, glue the nails onto my finger gloves, and buy an overshirt.

I've also decided to cosplay Eridan! I'm gonna try to get him together for Sakura con, buutttt dunno yet. XD
If I do it'll be sans cape, but oh well.

Speaking of capes omg I have no idea how I'm going to make that. -doesn't know how to sew-

I know! Hopefully there will be more meet-ups when the weather gets better. And we still need to have that Homestuck photoshoot thing someday XD I really need to get started on Rose but I'm holding off until I finish Pinkie Pie.

I'm thinking for the pants I'm going to try and find something black--scrubs, pj bottoms, etc. And then get some blue paint and painters tape and put them on that way.
I've seen things where people either paint or dye his shoes, I'll have to see what kind of shoes I can find... I'll probably go with painting if I can. Dying stuff is a HUGE pain. <w>

Oh gosh I hope so! I know, whether others are or not, I am so going to organize a Eugene Homestuck meet. u3u Totes happening man, nothing anyone can say against that.

Jotaku - for Eridan pants, you'd probably be much better off finding blue pants and adding black to them. It'll be much harder to put a lighter color over a dark one than vice versa.

For my own cosplay, I bought a wig cap and new shoelaces for Rose today so once I fix her sleeve and collar, Rose is done! Also decided I'm going to be Ms. Paint rather than Mysterious Cerulean 8a8e for WNW. :B

Problem is I'm not sure I'll be able to find the right blue for pants like that. xD I have seen lots of suggestions to just use black pants, though, so I'm sure it won't turn out too badly.
Thanks for the suggest, though. I'll definitely look around for the right shade of blue first.

Haha speaking of Eridan god trying to get his horns to work for me and they are being very difficult. >:c

Haha though Eridan's pants aren't really skinny jeans. I'm thinking of maybe some semi-flattering scrubs if those are possible to find. Or PJ bottoms.

My Tavros horns turned out waaaayyy too big.
Like, I was working at them with a friend and we both thought they were a lot smaller, but when I actually put them on just.. yeup too big. Plus they're not really cooperating.
So I have to remake them. Pooopieeeee

Personally, though, I like horns that are actually the same size as they appear in the comic--not saying big Tavros horns aren't good if you do them, that's just a personal preference for myself. :3

Guess who just bought red contacts, I can't wait for that and my wig to come in, then my lohac exchange dave will be done and he'll only need some props. I'll post some pictures once they all arrive

By the way, i may actually end up cosplaying from Homestuck >.> Not sure exactly who yet...I have a pair of thick rimmed glasses that would work perfectly for John or Eridan(or human!Eridan in my case...)...Either way it's not going to be a very amazing cosplay xD

did most of jade's skirt for a friend today. i still need to add buttons and take it up a bit at the bottom, but the bulk of it's done and what's left shouldn't take too long. our group for sakuracon is almost ready, assuming our john gets her green shirt sometime soon.

and for wonder northwest, i got a bandana that i can paint stripes on for ms. paint. i'm really excited about this costume.

i have the shirt and headscarf now, and i'm planning to get the fabric for her sash and skirt sometime after sakura-con. i still need to figure out what i'm doing for shoes, though - thoughts? i was thinking white flats of some kind, or maybe keds.

keds would probably work (thats what i got for my costume). you could also try toms? or just some plain old regular white flats. let me know if you want any recommendations c:

I guess it would be, but usually what I've witnessed is people use "Meenah" when referring to her younger self, my friend is doing the older Condescension.

Hello all! I stumbled into the cosplay section to see if anyone was going to be doing any Homestuck costumes as I recently got back into reading the comics AND WOW, needless to say I was surprised. Jegus.

I am fairly certain I will be making a Aradia costume, as I am too lazy to get more than one wig this year and with a little bit of basic curling my hair will be good to go.

Mostly I was wondering how other Trolls were making their horns, and if other Trolls were worrying about their skin color as part of their costume. I am pale as the unfiltered moonlight, and it would be easier for me NOT to deal with that unless someone has a quick and easy trick that won't rub off on any unsuspecting bystanders that might get my face run into them. ...or something. That sounded really weird and kind of creepy.

Hi! This is going to be my first Kumoricon experience and my third convention altogether (first one was Anime Banzai, the second was Anime Salt Lake; I'm going to be moving to Washington in June (GOOD RIDDANCE, UTAH)), and I'm really excited

I'll be attending this con as Slick. I'm 90% done with the cosplay, I just need the zentai suit, to make the face on the zentai suit, and the right shoes. The rest of it was found at home, so this is a fairly easy cosplay for me. Next time I'll have to try something more challenging. (I'm never doing a troll again, though, my Terezi cosplay was HORRID.)

I'm excited to see you all at the convention!!

Oh yeah, and my sister is either going to be Gamzee or Vriska. She's nervous about Gamzee, though, because explaining Gamzee to family is kind of strange. I really hope she goes with Gamzee, though.

troll horns are best made with model magic and a headband and for the skin there is this body creme called "Ben Nye" (well, thats the brand) you can get in either online or there is a store down town portland. There is also some people who use dyed nigh-longs for their arms.
