It's never too early to start, right? The Homestuck group of 2011 was a fantastic, devoted group of people and I'm looking forward to just as good of one next year! Aradia, Karkat, and Tier God John took charge and held the group together, and I can't thank them enough.

Let's get this group started (while we wait for the end of the hiatus!)

Anyway.
I really want to be Terezi again and actually get some good quality body paint since this year I ran out of time to order.
And I cant believe I lost my glasses over the weekend. I need to run to the dollar tree again. and fast.

Okay so. I may be crazy but...I kind of really want to do The Dolorosa for 2012. I'm planning to do simple stuff for Sakuracon so I can start work on her early, and I'd say there's a pretty good chance I could do it. It'd definitely be a fun challenge. Seeing how big and awesome the Homestuck group was made me sad that I hadn't tried to pull Rose together for Kumoricon. I'm definitely doing her for Sakuracon though (bought the headband today!).

I got materials today to remake my lost Terezi glasses. I'm just glad the dollar tree still had the plastic.
Also next year I'm tempted to be DeadShuffle!Jade. I'm in love with that outfit ;-;

I'm so in for this. i adored doing puppettux!dave the last day and wish i had gotten into Kanaya sooner for the actual shoot. I just don't know as what yet. far too early to be planning that.

The actual Homestuck shoot for this year inspired me to start reading it. I've managed to get to Act 4, but I'm already almost positive I want to cosplay from it for next year. As of now, I'm thinking about doing Bro, but I really want to get to the most current point of the story before deciding. I haven't even seen any trolls aside from the brief bit of Karkat at the end of Intermission yet, which is why I've very positive I will probably change my mind.

Hmm, I'm not sure what to do. Bro's still a possibility, but I really want to do a troll. Gamzee, Tavros, and Equius aren't really my type so I'm down to Sollux, Karkat, and Eridan. A lot of people seem to be doing Sollux, so I might avoid that. So I guess it's either Karkat or Eridan. I can do both quite well.

Lol, through consequences of various things, I've decided to do Eridan Ampora. (Mostly for the fact that I own legit hipster glasses and it give me an excuse to buy a Nerf gun and utterly remodel it.) I'm going to go all out with it including an attempt to engineer a full-size and somewhat operational Ahab's Crosshairs. I may even make the White Wand of Science for shiz and giggles too. XD

Since this Halloween I'm planning on doing Terezi's dragon cape. If it turns out good I might wear it to the con- gosh, it feels too early to be thinking about this but I cant help it ;-;

I am regretting my decision not to go to next Kcon, though. Hnnnnnn. It's becoming really hard to tell myself no. I just had the wild idea to fashion up a cheap Wayward Vagabond costume. I'm going to need to reconsider this...

Would anyone out there be interested in seeing that? I might just wear it to a mini-con or something.

(I just didn't mention it here because I didn't want to spam the thread by continuously changing plans...) I can wait to work on that costume until you know whether you finished yours or not. I'll work on WV until then.

Ohh, I don't mind waiting. I don't go to any other cons that are big enough to validate wearing a Homestuck cosplay, so I have all year to make this. That's true, though. Repeats aren't that bad.

And at least it's better than Dave's. I mean, I get what they were going for, with the whole 'Knight' thing, but...all I can think of is Tim Drake's old Red Robin costume, which the fandom semi-affectionately dubbed 'Condom Head'.

I think I'm going to bring some cut up red fabric to pin to my stomach as WV. Maybe the same in blue if I do Snowman.

Damn. That was one helluva an update. Totally amped my feelings of cosplaying Eridan. Perhaps we'll even get a godtier for him before August and I switch between that and regular. I think it'll just be plain Eridan for Sakuracon though.

My friend and I are still debating if we should to do God Tier Rose and Jade or just normal Rose and Jade. I'm hoping there will be more of Rose in the next update so I can get a clearer picture of what her outfit looks like.

Augh. I had another brain blast and I'm beginning to wish I'd stop doing that. Is anyone else trying to go as a Dersite besides me? Because I have a big pair of black wings that someone could use for Bec Noir. That would be the best thing since Gushers. So many battle photoshoots could come out of that.

...or, you know, I could do it... But then I'd be doing three Homestuck costumes in one year and which do I wear to the photoshoot? ;A;

Well, she's bound to do it pretty soon since WhatPumpkin? released hoodies for god tiers of Mind and Heart, which just so happen to be part of Terezi and Nepeta's titles. Who knows though, Nepeta I understand since she's... well, dead and all, but Terezi kind of has to die before she can god tier. XP

Argh, it's really hard, though. It wouldn't take nothing for me to find a little plastic katana, some brightly colored cheap cotton to tear up for a collar, and a black dog mask.

I've never been in a fandom where I wanted to play this many characters at once before. I'm usually more conservative with my choices, but they're all so tempting in this one...
