I'm probably not going to the Asian Celebration, since I've found it boring the few times I've gone.

I'd be down with a Portland meetup if it's on a weekend I can make it up there. I know there's a Tumblr for organizing Portland meetups? Auricle would know better than me.

Hmm, I might show up and hang out for an hour or two. Not sure what I'd wear though. Probably Gaz since its the only one that is done.

To the keep the topic of Homestuck going, I got my leggings for Rose yesterday but they're not what I wanted at all. I wanted leggings but I got footless tights. They stretch and lose their color so they end up lighter than the fabric I'm using for the dress. I'll just have to deal unless I can find a pair of actual orange leggings.

That's where I'm buying my tights for the armsocks... I haven't gotten them yet so I dunno how perfect they'll be or anything (though I expect to get them today or tomorrow since they've already shipped to Eugene), but at least this way you're guaranteed to not get footless anything if you don't order it that way.  I can let you know how the quality is when I get them, if you're interested. :'o

Hnnn and excited I'mma buy my teeth today!  Just gotta run to the bank and get myself some money all up in there first.

I've see a TON of Homestuck cosplayers use the nonstained Gremlin teeth; they look really lovely plus don't mess up speech too much from what I hear.  Kinda pricey but I'm sure they'll last and yeah, a lot easier than making your own. xD

The thing is, We Love Colors is who I ordered from. I was following a God Tier Rose tutorial [that I now know not to use] and they looked good on her but I probably didn't take into count that she's skinnier than me so the color would fade and they would stretch more on me even though they were plus sized tights. Oh well. What's done is done and there's not really anything I can do about it.

On a happier note, I just printed out my Mutie for my Roxy shirt and I will finally iron it on today XD I'll post pics later.

They're the only ones I've found that aren't sparkly, expensive, ugly, and most importantly OUT OF STOCK. I could cut off the little strap if I wanted to but I think its kinda cute. Like I'd keep that on instead of doing the ribbon. So what do you guys think?

But those shoes are really cute!  I think they'd be fine.  I mean they're the right color and mostly the same style except for the strap.  I doubt anyone will worry too much about those being EXACT anyway. I know I wouldn't if I saw a Rose with shoes like that.

Jo: Thanks for the link! My homemade teeth are actually pretty nice, they just take forever to make. And I am admittedly pretty bad at it. But maybe me and my friends will have another teeth party soon.

HNNNN tights for my armsocks came in todaaaayyyy!  So excited fjdlakjfsld;  Gonna try and start working on them Monday.  I think the color is right, of course I won't know for sure until the make-up comes in and I can test it... but I think they'll work. > W<  I got two pairs in case I royally screwed the first one. x mx

Also bought a simple black shirt to be Tavros' undershirt thing today for like $5 bucks. Still need to find a button-up T but I felt too awkward to search around the guy's clothing section alone. Hahaha gonna wait until I have cosplay shopping support for that.

Me too! XD after seeing all the Homestucks at the con last year, I finally gave in and started reading it.

Me three. xD Who knew a fandom group could entice us to look into a work? People sometimes avoid this fandom because of it, but we enjoyed this fandom.

Anyway, cosplay related things: My Bec Noir costume hasn't progressed, but I have planned for it. I have fabric for his purple collar area that I will start sewing eventually, and I'll buy some printed cotton for his cut up fabrics. My body suit is fine, but my wings need some repair and redesign. I also need to make his mask. That's where I am with things.

My cosplay is also kind of stalled. I've got exactly three tiny things I need to do for Rose to be 100% finished and I keep...not doing them. But I did start on an Cerulean Mystery 8a8e/Young Mindfang??? costume... I made a Sufferer necklace and horns, and I plan to do her belt this weekend. I may wear her to WNW this year.

personally, i bought mine at party city, but im not sure if you have one of those in your area. im not sure how long it lasts, but the color seems to be alright. if you find it somewhere else though, that should work too.

i agree, ive only seen a handful of davesprites on the internet, and none in person, so that would be awesome to see   
if you cant work it in though, thats ok. it sounds like you already have a lot of cosplays going on!

I'll keep it in the back of my mind and casually collect things for it and maybe, just maybe it will happen and I'll be like "great when am I supposed to wear this?" as I put on and say "Screw everything, I'm Davesprite!"

I'm not sure if i'll be able to cosplay as Tavros this year :\ It's just that i feel the only way that i'll be able to do him justice is if i got a wheelchair, which would be very difficult for me to both find at a very cheap price, and move around in (Kumoricon for me is constently running around and doing things, and if i'm not used to moving around in a wheelchair, that could be very hard for me. And besides, i wouldn't even be able to use the wheelchair after Kumoricon, so that would feel like kind of a waste for me ^^; )

So yeah, i'll still probably be hanging out with everyone and i'll definitely go to the photoshoot to take pictures, but i won't be cosplaying Homestuck this year.

I actually looked into that before and couldn't find anything ^^; And honestly, i'd be too afraid of ruining it at the con. Also, like i said before, for someone who isn't used to being in a wheelchair, hurrying around the convention wouldn't be the most easiest thing for me.

i havent done any work on this yet or any other part of my cosplay for that matter, but i plan on making a trickster mutie to go along as a prop for my cosplay :>
also, we might go to the fabric store and look for skirt fabric tomorrow, but i got sick so we might not  :/
depends on how i feel, but i really hope to get started on this cosplay soon besides just dyeing the shoes XD
