My Little Pony - Friendship is Magic 2012

Being crafty is just fun. I make stuff too, but no pony stuff at the moment. My holiday project is making dolls of a set of characters from Homestuck. Some are for friends, but I might consider selling the remainders. Perhaps once those are done, pony projects could commence. I dunno what I'd make though. Fabric and painting are my areas overall which leads to many possibilities. Costumes tend to be my usual thing. (But being a costume design major might have a little to do with that. )

So Fluttershy, Rarity, Twilight Sparkle and Pinkie Pie scarves are done! My sis is taking pics of them now so I'll post them probably tomorrow. They turned out pretty awesome, but I learned some things that I need to do for the other scarves.

It probably will from what I heard how many Bronies are on the staff XD and they accept well planned and popular series panels, so I think we're good!

So, so far, both the Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie scarf has sold! Woot! Hope that more will go! And also, if you want one, just tell me and I'll make more, especially if the originals have already been sold. And I finished the base for my Dr. Whooves scarf and will be finishing it tomorrow and hopefully getting yarn for Derpy Hooves~

Dang, I never realized Kumoricon announced their panels so early. Sakuracon's still taking submissions and won't be posted until like January or February from what I've heard. Anyway, I would most definitely shell out for a Rarity scarf if you made it a 2nd time. I wasn't sure if I'd have the money, but I do now.

I don't think it should be 18+.  This is (ideally) a children's show, and there'd most likely be at least some minors that would like to attend this panel.  (I've been thinking about doing a Discord cosplay since I saw the episodes recently).

I think the age limitations can be determined on whether it's a Brony panel specifically, or a panel for the show itself (though I think it'd be hilarious to non-bronies, and myself for that matter, if they looked in the guidebook and saw "My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic (18+)").  There are a few things about the Brony culture that do warrant themselves to 18+.

I will most likely be in charge of DDR for the video games section again. I have recently found stepmania files for about 12 songs; remixed show versions and original songs. I am in the works of downloading/finding more. hopefully I'll find/buy the cables needed to run it on a TV as opposed to a monitor this year (well next year technically, as it will be 2012). I am about to record myself doing these songs, and will post links upon request (I didn't record yesterday, when i did a lot of DDR, so I will look "noobish" on these vids).

anyone who knows some remixed songs, please post, I'm sure someone on the interwebs has made a step chart to it.

Uh... I'm a guy and I'm genderbent. I actually basically do every mix and match. Cosplay, genderbent, crossplay, you name it.

my first impression on rarity when genderbent came into mind... REN from utapri so i based the left art from him... the second idea i got was what if rarity's tail was there? then i thought of a flowing scarf-- coz i like flowing my scarf all the way down to my knee~ if you see a guy walking around in hillsboro with a black scarf flowing behind him all the way down to his knee, that would be me XD

the one on the left is definitely classier... while the one on the right is definitely gothicy-er

I would go with the left one, mainly because of the "mane" and the horn on the right foot of the right image seems possibly dangerous...

Personally, when people do pony ginikas, I think they need ears, horn/wings if they have them and sometimes a tail. You can get away with not have a tail, but I think it needs to be there, like how all cat people have ears and tails. Why don't pony people?! Just my thoughts though.

And I like the first design, mainly b/c of the hair and you need that classier look for Rarity.

Eh, I disagree with you guys. I like the 2nd design. (Minus the unicorn shoes.) I feel the first is too generic and like most anime characters so you'll get lost in the crowd as something you're not. I like the second one since it uses a vest and chain which is signature high class attire as well as the short sleeves. It's more accurate as a costume/dressmaker. I know this from being one. XD I would take away the unicorn shoes and leg band. They don't match.

I can see where you're going with that, but I think making the left one's hair longer would help out with making him stand out more.  Plus, this is a simple pencil sketch that's lacking in color.  I think once that gets factored in, he'd stand out much more.

Huh, I didn't even notice it had gloves. Gloves are a major no-no indeed. I'm in agreement with the others, combining the two would be a great idea.

I'm currently looking at what modifications I could do to Rainbow Dash to make it more male aside from what's obvious. She's already very guy-like, and the original costume is already fairly minimalist.
