Survey available in Guidebook app
« on: September 07, 2011, 02:05:46 am »
The survey is now active in the Guidebook smartphone app. If you re-enter the Kumoricon guide in the app, you'll be prompted to download an update which contains the survey. Please tap "Feedback" to take it and let us know what you liked and didn't like. We have several multiple-choice questions about specific aspects of the convention as well as a few free-response questions. Thanks!

is there any other way to take the survey? I've got some rants and raves itching to get out!

At the moment it is only available in the app as it is an experiment of the survey feature in the app. But feel free to post your comments in one of the appropriate threads here on the forum!

Well then. Here's one. I want to give feedback but I don't have/want an iPhone.

ThiefKingsHier, I already addressed this in the previous post. Please go back and re-read it.

Because it was an experiment of the feature of the app, not anything else. It wasn't a choice between a survey in the app vs. a printed survey vs. a web survey, or some other format. Rather, the survey was one of 10 or 20 features of the app that was offered to us, and we chose to try it. The only reason we're advertising it is due to a mistake, it didn't appear in the app in time for people to see it during the con.

The survey is mostly multiple-choice questions. If you have something specific to post in a forum thread, believe me, that carries more weight than just one survey response, so you're not at any disadvantage in the weight of your opinion. We know when reviewing the responses that it just represents smartphone users, and not all attendees, but it's one data source among many for us to review.
