Oh gosh I haven't posted on here in forever, but I'm going to Fanime in about a month so I have a ton of progress to share!
First off I finished fixing up my cosplay of Yukiteru from Mirai Nikki. This is the first time I've ever crossplayed, so it's exciting for me!
I'm just waiting for the boots and wig in the mail. I think I'm also going to make my own belt-thing since the only brown belt I have is too tight since it's meant to go around my waist, not my hips.
I'm really proud of that green shirt. You can't see it too well in the picture, but the pockets are a darker color than the rest of the shirt. I bought a green shirt a Walmart, dyed the whole thing, and then had to take the pockets off and dye them an even darker color before sewing them back on. I also had to make pockets for the sleeves and hem the whole thing because it was too long.
I ordered a custom-made costume online for the first time, because I'm doing a K-ON group and we all want to match! I'm being Ritsu for the group, and was pleasantly surprised with how the costume turned out!
Just waiting on the wig now, once I get that the costume is done!
Another costume I'm excited for is Mrs. Toad from Thumbelina! My roommate already has a completed Thumbelina costume, so I'm going to be her sassy toad~ Today I finished the bodice, and then I need to make the skirt and sew on her blue circles all over it.
It's been so hot and sunny down in Ashland that doing my morning jog gave me that intense of a sunburn... Hopefully it'll be gone by Fanime!!
