makeup test for aradia! i think it went pretty well, i still want to mess around with the eye makeup a bit but this is basically how it'll look. this lipstick is the best thing ever.

i haven't been posting much but i've made a ton of progress - default rose lalonde is completely done, dude!jane crocker just needs a moustache and a fedora (and the fedora has shipped so i'll have that by next week). i'm waiting on tights for aradia so i can have grey legs/arms and i have some work to do on god tier jane - finish the tunic and make the hood, paint the shoes. i have to be done by mid-august but i think i'll be fine.

Secret cosplay for DemonSpawn is coming along, we did a fitting and make up test today~!
8D The final run should be started in a few days.
I get paid on the 31st, SO I'll be ordering contacts, a wig and possibly shoes if I can find some.

So many little things to do this weekend. I took the day off work yesterday (I got over a month vacation time saved up so I can spare a day) and did a bunch of sanding while my neighbors were at work so I wouldn't disturbe them too much.
Sanded my Pokeguns for my Ash/Vash, the large wrench for my Fem Engineer, sanded and re-resined my Desert Punk hat like 3 times yesterday. Still can't seem to get that sucker smooth.
The Marluxia Scythe that I'm making for my sister cracked so I put resin in the crack and let it heal, I'm gonna have to put more layers of resin around the cracked area so it don't happen again.
Gonna put down resin this morning on just about everything and let them rest in the corner to dry while I assemble another Soul Scythe that I was commissioned to make for Sak. The person I'm making it for wants to pick it up at Kumo.
Put the arm patches on my Fem Eng red shirt and fix the hard hat so it don't sit so low on my head, make my tool pouch, make my rave shirt look more ravish. So lots of things to do today.

I FINALLY finished Mephisto's coat ! now i need to fix a cosplay & repaint the sword for Guy. Then work on a prop commission set for kcon @ u@;; then lastly work my butt off for a Last minute human ! Kyubey cosplay for Day 0.

Okay so... I rarely ever even post on these forums but I am making progress so I may as well right? Well I'm working on a cosplay of Sebastian Michaelis, and I got... for weapons real antique silver-plated table knives. I just finished getting them cleaned up and polished today, which was fun to do lol. So now they're nice and shiny.

Today I made Kneesocks' horn and added the collar and buttons to her jacket. I also ordered lip stick for both Kneesocks and Shego and got lip stick sealer to try out!

And! I also took some photos in my Mion/Shion robe outfit!

I was recently able to revive a sewing project, that I had thought a lost cause. I just had to turn it upside down before working with it, and viola! I now have a Mercenary!Meowth gijinka cosplay.

Question to the rest of you: I used Meowth's tail as a sword, does anyone think that will make it unrecognizable as part of the Meowth gijinka?

those are really awesome but that might be considered live steel and they might not let you bring them into the con space. You should go out and buy plastic knives and paint them metallic silver as a back up.

Well my dress for my imitation black len kagamine got here

though the skirt is REALLY long ( i chose not to make this cosplay because #1 i dont feel i have the skill to and #2 time constraint ) anywho yeah gunna have to do some pinning on the skirt it seems just need shoes and a wig now and ill be ready!

Working on making the bandolier for my TF2 Fem Heavy cosplay. I just scrapped an old pair of black pants since it was the right color and material and now I am just trying to get the darn elastic measurements figured out for the crazy oversized bullets. Thankfully its one of the few things I need to sew. Then I just need to make my turban for my Mr. Popo cosplay and the rest is all stuff that is getting shipped in over the next couple weeks! I think I will just try and figure out my cosplays super early next time and then make an item a month for my prop-heavy cosplays.

I went crazy and bought a bunch of stuff! I got the peeeeerfect pants and shirt for Izaya.
I had to drive super far away for a styrofoam wig head, so I bought two!
Got boots for my secret cosplay, and I really like them! They fit and are going to be super comfy!
Got paint and what not for props and I'm offically excited for con.
Sewing is going steady as long as I stop messing up. jeez.

Alright! Kuranosuke is completely done (and has been for a bit. lol). I'm going to do a "dress rehearsal" of sorts and test make up and putting it all together.

Also, dyed the fabric for my secret cosplay a week or so ago and finally got all of the pieces cut out. I also got my thread, buttons, and zipper. :3 I'm so excited for this one!!!

Haven't really done much for Luigi... My Mario has been really busy and going through some stuff, so we haven't been able to work at all, but we have pretty much all of the materials. Only thing we need is hat materials and pattern.

Just pulled a 5 and a half hour long sewing session, Hailey's secret cosplay's bodice is nearly done, I have puffy sleeves to make and details to put in. Shouldn't take longer then 2 more days to do just that! 8D

Everything is falling into place quite nicely. I now have my costume, and though it needs a bit of ironing, I believe it is going too look rather nice once everything is complete. A little preview with me trying it on to make sure it fit correctly. Definitely need to iron it:

The lapel pin is a bit off, because I need to figure out exactly how to place it. I was confused by the second pin which my dad says is supposed to pin to the pocket there, but to me it doesn't look quite right. The shoes I have on are not the ones I'll be using for the cosplay, merely a backup in case I don't find the ones I want.

Whoo! Everyones progress is getting me so pumped! 8D I'm getting things done so much faster then I thought I was going to!
my progress hasn't improved to much, it's just that the cosplay I'm sewing, is probably the most well constructed, most put together cosplay I've ever done. So I'm super proud of it, and myself.

I put the interfacing on the inner lining of the bodice, and then sew'd the lining into the top.
Once that was done, it looked beautiful! So professional looking! All I really did today was make a pumpkin sleeve and sew all of the details on it before using the base stitches to poof out the sleeves!
8D and now I spent two hours making those sleeves fit into the bodice, but my gosh, it looks so nice!
I need to go get a different sized zipper, because I over guessed a bit when I was thinking about how long I would make the back. XD turns out I was only one zipper size to big.
tl;dr-I sew'd a fancy shirt together and took a long time to sew in fancy sleeves.

SOoo i have this done so far for Kyubey ! still need to get extensions and the hoodie before its 10000 % done.
not the exact place the ears will be but ...close enough. I would permanently attach the ears to the wig BUUUT that wig is for my Balmung cosplay.

^ wigs I use for the same cosplay i ashally sew in Slaps and then place the other half of the snap on the ears or cosplay parts so i can re use my wig and hide the snaps when need be ^^

i'm in the process of making arm socks for aradia - i have one hand fully sewn and the other is about halfway there, then i need to seal the seams on the second one, take in the wrists some so they're more fitted, and attach fake nails. i'll post pictures later tonight, probably (i'm taking a break right now because i've been working on them for 3 hours)

I made the skirt for my boyfriend's Fluttershy and found a cardigan he could use. As well as a lucky find of these cute little butterflies to use as the cutie mark!

(The skirt has a elastic waist band so either he or I could wear it!

)
I'm gonna get either a white or pink petticoat for under the skirt. Right now it's my blue pinkie pie one. (:

After work today I'm going full force. I am determined to have 2 cosplay done this weekend. I decided that Desert Punk's faceplate was too suffocating so I ordered a new dome the I will make into another faceplate that will give me enough room for a fan inside. No fainting at cons that is a good rule. Luckily that will only take me a couple hours to get the faceplate redone. I just hope it gets here by the end of next week. That will give me plenty of time. Also I will have a backup faceplate if needed. Cheers

Here's my Kuranosuke "dress rehearsal." The make up seriously took an hour because of the eyeliner and lashes. It's my first successful attempt at the fake lashes. T^T
