I would classify cocoa to come from a fruit, but I really don't think it matters since in colloquial language the distinction between fruits and vegetables is not clear (thus the "are tomatoes vegetables or fruit?" debate). Most people consider vegetables to be roots, stems, or leafs; and fruits fleshy things that develop from flowers, and contain a seed or seeds (whether on the outside or inside). But colloquially we distinguish them mostly by flavor (more savory=veggie, more sweet=fruit).
As for waiting to start a new one... does it matter? if we start, then we can ask questions and may not get answers. It is starting to get later, and people will probably start to go to bed.
