so the new fullmetal Alchemist movie is coming out jan 20 and im going to go see it
at the living room theater in portland OR those anyone want to join me

I'm speaking for my two friends, they were very interested in joining you guys if you to go in cosplay.
Also one of them said that they heard that this movie wasn't even supposed to be out in Japan yet

you mean cosplay at the movie right? If it is, then I can't cuz it'll probably be too cold.

the movie was released july of last year.

A shally the movie came out in Japan lat year they made $8 mill off of it just in jaPan alone in canda it get released on the 15th USA is the 20th in Japan it's not on DVD yet won't be till summer 2012 sorry i talked to my buddy tonight he said its worth seeing and all the info I got on this is from him of course he lives in Japan yay for online social games but yeah if he says it worth seeing I m sp in just depends on my money

ok so on funimation it says the movie is dubbed but the theater says its subbed so if thats not a problem

This sounds like a plan. Not too many people should have to worry about money, seeing as admission is only like, 6 bucks. I live right near the place so I'll be going with some other people.

It's right near Powell's. Also, I know I don't have to mention this, but please remember that this IS a public theater and we gotta respect the patrons and owners. The last time I went and saw the Eva film there, I was there with the PSU anime club, and another club (who I'm not going to name) went as well, and their conduct was very rude. A lot of loud talking and disruptive action during the PREVIEWS, and two people left. Not only did it partially spoil the experience, but it made us look bad at the same time. Again, I don't think anyone here would do that, but I thought I'd bring this to light.

If you don't mind it possibly being too cold, I guess you can go with cosplaying Lust. Otherwise, Roy works fine too. If the theather employees allow it or something.

If you were cosplay roy, then we may need a lust or vice versa or whatever.....

Oh, I don't think that'll be a problem. I'm sure they'd get a kick out of it. I really don't mean to sound like a jerk, I just want people to be mindful and I'm sure everyone is. I'm just concerned because people may have complained about the last time. Cosplay wasn't an issue at all.

And truly, I don't think anyone should be banned for cosplaying unless it was rude, inappropriate, offending someone, etc...b/c it's just clothing. But yeah, go something you're comfortable in.

If you go as Roy, I'll go as Hughes, if you go as Lust I'll go as Envy ^^
Both casual, though since I don't have the uniform yet and I'd freeze as Envy...

There will also be showings of the movie in downtown Vancouver. I plan on going to that one, myself, most likely on that Saturday. If anyone would like to go to that one instead or as well, there's another thread about it in the same area.

Well, I know that the showings at the Kiggins Theatre will all be in the evening. Friday will be 6 and 9, and I believe that Saturday is at 9 and Sunday is at 6.

Well there's all sorts of food carts not too far away, we could all meet up earlier in the day to do it. Though I may be working that Friday so I can't make it then. We could try to do it Saturday also.

depending on the time where and/or when everyone is supposed to show up, I can help you find the way to the theather. I'll be arriving by the max at the square. I'll be the guy wearing the akatsuki beanie.

Eat at restaurant? Depends on which restaurant whether it be another japanese one or somewhere else. And how much money we all got at the moment.

Have you picked out where to eat yet? I'm up for eating at the fancy pants movie theater, food cart, or restaurant(not too spendy).

Oh yah, if any of you want to eat at the theater, I think you need to order the food a half hour before the movie starts or something(I'll call them either tommorow or something)and bring over $10-$15 for both food and the ticket, maybe.......
