I'll probably either enter as Celty Sturluson from Durarara! or The Handmaid from Homestuck....or Saeko Busujima from Highschool Of The Dead......or Robot Aradia from Homestuck...
I want to actually try to apply for the cosplay chess at Kumoricon this year. (Especially since last year I forgot, and at Sakuracon this year I had to actually step down from my position in the cosplay chess because I had to leave earlier than I originally planned.)

Hi! I am new to Kumoricon but 2011 was my first year and I have read alot about Kumoricon for a few years. In my first visit, I fell in love with everything speically the Cosplay Chess so I am finishing my costume so I can join in on that fun and also join in on the Cosplay Contest too!

Remember people, we don't have mics (unless they decide to do it this year), so be sure you can act as your character by doing movements, not speech.
And practice doing exaggerated movements.

It might be nice to actually have a panel about ways to entertain during Cosplay Chess. If I get help, I'd be willing to help run it.

I've been looking for a small, hand held megaphone like Sho has throughout TWEWY (when he keeps shouting at Neku and company), so if I do get it, whether I'm GLaDOS or Sho or even if I'm not accepted, I'll lend it to one of the teams. If someone else gets one, then the battles could have speaking (if they want it).

I've never done cosplay chess before, but I'd love to be a model if you decide to do a panel like this! I've done small acting pieces with school, if that's anything to be taken into consideration! Oh, I'm also willing to act out most anything, from fighting to just being in character!

It's not up yet, but they post it in this section. Because they choose everyone before con, there isn't any signups at the actual con. The only thing that they allow last minute is if you get chosen and you have a friend who you want to join you either as a partner or an attack.

So, plans have changed and I'm not being Zuko. But I'm going to be Bolin and I'm hoping to have a Korra and Mako! And if we have time and money we may make their Probending uniforms!

My special attack props will work, but I'm not sure how to color my lollypop.. Rainbow swirl, pastels, jawbreaker splatter look... Any suggestions? The second piece to it will be a light pink, so probably not that color.

Right, so after considering it for years I'm finally gonna put my name in for cosplay chess this year. Only problem I've got is figuring out which of my characters would work best for it. Currently my cosplay plans for con are: Saeko Busujima (Highschool of The Dead), Erica Fontaine (Sakura Wars 3), a steam/diesel-punk Chinese airship pirate, and a Hetalia OC for Argentina.

My thinking right now is that Erica would be best, though her special attack would probably involve maracas, ala this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GVOHQbXD-Cg

Definatly going to sign up as Bolin with my Mako and hopefully Korra! We'll be doing their Probending outfits!!! Will be pretty awesome!

I also have Ice King, and it'd be awesome to be him, but I'm wanting to wear Bolin Day 3, so he's really my only option....

I also might see if I can get a friend to be a Kigarumi of Pabu and jump around as him ^^

I'm still deciding on which costume to do, and I have a question.

One costume I was considering I can only do for Chess Master because of it's unwieldy size. The costume requires prostetic arms over my own, making my hands too large to actually use the pieces. If I decide to apply for chess master, would it be alright to bring in a third person I can instruct to move the pieces for me?

I know I'm going to be submitting Sho (since the cosplay should be done by next weekend), but I'm only going to submit GLaDOS if my girlfriend gets her Wheatley costume together. Also considering submitting Irene, since the riding crop is just a little too fun to swing around, and I could always get a syringe and take the needle part off, so I could pretend to drug people.

My group isn't doing the Legend of Korra trio anymore, at least not for Kumo

So I have Ice King, and then my friend and I will be Zuko and Aang. I'll be entering those for Chess. I may just put Aang in b/c I'm wanting to wear him Day 3 anyways with the rest of my Avatar group, but yeah.

Also, more reminders to check out my panel! Only reason I'm advertising is b/c it is useful for this. It is a panel about improv fighting and ways to be more entertaining in Cosplay Chess. I'm hoping it's Day 1 so be sure to look for it!

****DITTO ABOUT THE PANEL**** - drives me nuts when another battle ends with yet another gruesome "death", gets boring after a while...

Also, bringing No Face & Raven Prince Mytho again this year (finishing BEFOREHAND, hooray - less time constructing, more time wearing!
