Actually, I wouldn't mind being part of this video, too.  I have an idea on whom to contact, but I'd think that this would be something worth mentioning to the board at the next general meeting.
My cosplay plans for 2022 (thus far): Vanir from Konosuba

Personally, I like the idea of diversifying the fan bases, rather than just sticking with one thing; make it more likely to have people relate to the contents.  That's actually the main reason that I didn't care so much for the Anime Hunters' videos; they were heavily Final Fantasy based, and I've never played the games.  Except in cases that were overall funny, most of their jokes made no sense to me.  They countered that with having the occasional non-FF cosplayer, which was nice.  Hetalia would run the risk of similar problems, possibly even worse, since less people are familiar with the series.

Exactly!  We could have a rule conveyed via Hetalians, another by Moonies, another by FFFans, another by Bronies, etc.

With this being our first year without the Anime Hunters (at least as long as I've been going to con), it will be interesting to see how it all goes and what changes. This does sound like a good idea, though, and it would be a really great contest to add to con every year.

^ Now that you mention it, I think they've been with us since '08...

Regarding the contest idea, it may be a little bit too late for that this year.  It could make for a fun idea to present to the board of directors for next year, though.

I would volunteer myself to act in the rules video
I will say two weeks before con I will be in California

It shall be weird without them. I always found they're videos be great but I am a crazy Final Fantasy lover. It would be good to have many series involved, to show how open Kumoricon is.

And if it ends up as a contest in the future, that would be a way to get a varity of animes going... Every year could end up being something new, and, from an observational standpoint, it would be a good way to track the anime trend as it grows and changes.
