AMV Editors' Dinner - Red Lion 31-Aug-12 8:15pm

The Red Lion Hotel's restaurant is called "The Quay."
I have reserved a side alcove room in the restaurant.

The kitchen closes at 10pm, so I am starting the gathering at 8:15pm.
AMV editors past and present are welcome to gather. Each AMV editor
may bring a guest such as a parent, spouse, or significant partner.

I will have a small monitor and speakers and we can go through the judges'
selections and some runner-ups, and also have a good time and meet-n-greet.

Yes, we are doing this later because
people are traveling and coming in
from far & wide, so the later start
time should help give more people
a chance to show up and relax.

Just throwing this out there, I feel like By this time last yr more ppl had posted in this type of thread. I dunno, maybe I'm just crazy. (Statistically speaking i am about the right age for schizophrenia to be settin in, so it is possible) (nice thought to fall asleep to)

8:15 feels a bit "late" for dinner, but  to allow for those who are traveling a long distance (and then checking in to a hotel at the same time as thousands of others) it should work out about right. The food there is good and quite filling, so bring your appetite (and money!!).  Looking forward to seeing everyone there.  :)

That's exactly right.
Also, one or two of the Judges may be dropping by (and I think at least one was also a Sakuracon AMV pre-screening judge,) so you may be able to torture and grill them ask them about entries that weren't selected ...

Had a great time meeting with the judges and AMV editors.
Was also great to see 'Dinger from Sakuracon; I'd not had
a chance to meet him for a few years.
