Beaverton/Portland Cosplay Flashmob
« on: August 25, 2012, 10:19:04 pm »
So I've always wanted to do a cosplay flash mob. I would prefer to have the flashmob in Beaverton or close to pioneer square in portland. Who's interested?

A flash mob is a group of people who assemble suddenly in a place, perform an unusual and seemingly pointless act for a brief time, then disperse, often for the purposes of entertainment, satire, and artistic expression.

I don't think I've ever seen a flash mob that did singing... usually it's been dancing.

OK, what would we do? And how would we flashmob in costume without people getting suspicious upon our approach?

Well, it would be hard to avoid notice, but that wont matter once it starts. Basically, we all have the same song, and we practice one dance until we are synchronized to the t. Then we gather at the prearranged place and at an exact time on the dot we dance, then disperse when we are done like nothing happened.

I am all for it :D

A lot of flash mobs that I've seen would have the participants wearing trenchcoats or dusters, then disrobing them to reveal their true outfits while they perform their dance.

That's not a flash mob; that's an abomination.

I'd so totally be down for this!!  I'd love to take part in a flash mob, and I have several cosplays I could choose from.

My vote is for Pioneer Square.  Lots of people, nice, big open space... :D

this could be very interesting but yes trying to hide costumes would be the most difficult part, best way would be tofind a staging area that everyone can discretly wait and move from quickly similar to raiding a major city on wow lol
I'LL ALLOW IT
