Mahjong at Kumoricon 2012

Hello there, so I just wanted to get a feel for if anyone out there who's going to the con would like to play some Japanese riichi mahjong or learn how to. It's a great game. Popularized in great animes such as Akagi and Saki. I've got a regular american mahjong set and a Washizu set where 3/4ths of the tiles are transparent. It's pretty rad.
Reply and let me know if you're interested and if I should bring both sets. I'm probably at least going to bring the Washizu one.

I love Saki, though I have no idea how to play Japanese Mahjong. I've tried American Mahjong and think it's a terrible waste of time... If you know how to play the Japanese version, I'd love to learn how.

Mahjong is available in Tabletop.. we have one or two sets there, as well as Go.  I wish we could have gotten someone to come in and teach how to play, I would like to learn

Yeah, forget Sunday. I keep forgetting this con is Saturday-Monday not Friday-Sunday like most of the 3-day cons I've been to. Let's plan for Monday, I have no real plans for Monday, so whenever is convenient for y'all.

sorry, but there's no way I'm going to be up at 8am. Cosplay chess ends at 1:30pm so maybe we should aim for 2:00 at the tabletop area. I'll be dressed up in a Doofenshmirtz cosplay. Thanks.
