Nope not gonna fit lol Do the shorts have a LOT of stretch though? I could buy those off you cuz I DO need them if they go bigger. My hips would need a 46ish though

Well you gave me you're measurements, If they almost fit now, what measurements are you now? If you are bigger then me (which I doubt) then they might just fit.

i'm not sure what my measurements are now, since I STILL can't find my tape measure. But I do know that I'm a size 16-18 T__T that's ONLY my waist btw. That's where all the weight went ;~; my belly. lol

I'll see what my measurements are once I figure out where that stupid tape went >_>

Really? Hmm. I know I have a pair of size 18 shorts for my Kyoko sakura cosplay and they are too big (they stretch too so they fit that much more loose, but that means I may wear a 14 because they feel that much different. I guess there's no way to know unless I try them on lol But that will have to wait anyway.

Speaking of shoes getting mold, maybe I'm weird, but I keep all of my shoes inside the warmest/driest part of our house and check them to make sure they're fine. I actually keep my cosplay shoes inside a clear plastic storage bin in the same room. I used to keep them in a opaque blue bin for storage, but they started to get smells that for some reason doesn't happen in the clear bin xD; I also keep all of my cosplays in that  room too, save for a wig or two that has to be in my bedroom (for constant watching).

But I've never had issues with my cosplays getting mold or smelling.

Stick some baking soda in the bin and maybe even inside the shoes. It works as a natural cleaner and in addition to that absorbs odors in the air. Many people also stick a box of baking soda in the refrigerator to keep the air fresher in there as well. When my uncle had me get my shoes all muddy and moldy smelling I would just sprinkle a little bit inside and they wouldn't have any bad odor shortly after.

Best of all, it's cheap... If I remember right I used to get it in bulk for 10 cents a pound at winco foods.

@veraca: this was in my OLD SHITTY apartment (sorry for the bad language lol) but everything in that apartment was MOLD GALORE. NO place for mold free. A lot of my stuff had mold, and I was having health issues by the time we moved out, I was suffering worse than my old childhood house (which was a piece of crap!). So even if I wanted my shoes to be saved, there was no chance.

Hey y'all!  I'm hoping there might be room for a big fluffy moogle's first photoshoot!  Been to Kcon 3 times so far, but didn't get to do much because of a stuffy partner who just wanted to walk around and only go to the most popular panels/events.  Very excited to be donning a mascot outfit for the first time, and I'm very aware of being stopped with every step for a hug by a crowd of fangirls (and fanboys) screaming "MOOGLE!!!"  Kupo!~
Prince McKupo is back in the action, baby!  Kupo!  Now, as for my "cooling down" cosplay: Jude Mathis, with both his Xillia 1 (100%) and Xillia 2 (100%) outfits.

First. You are a KING. not a prince. That name should be KING McKupo. lol That is the koolest thing ever. An old friend of mine wanted to do a Moogle cosplay before we stopped being friends (and he ditched me for other stuff for a my first con), and we were gonna make it have motorized wings. how awesome would that be lol

Anyway I can't wait to see your cosplay lol

Omg, I'd love to have motorized wings and a glowing pom-pom...alas, I'm quite un-savvy construction-wise, so I'm just opting to be the giant pillow minus all the bells and whistles.  :-P

Oh, and thank you for thinking of me as a king!  Hehe...King McKupo...that'd be the day!  <3

I kind of wanted to have some sort of boombox or something that blasts out Samba/Mambo de Chocobo...but as I've learned the hard way from past cons, every ounce you add to your person counts, and with wearing a stuffy mascot outfit, the less physical labor, the better!  I'm already wearing a hydration pack on the inside, along with toting a picket sign that says, "Save, Kupo?"

Oh lord lol A save sign, that's awesome as crap.

If I was still cosplaying AC Cloud, we coulda re-created my faveorite pic that I ever drew:
http://jasonterror.deviantart.com/art/Cloud-and-Moogle-Save-Joke-206651621

If you aren't a big VII fan, you won't understand the pic, but I explained it in the description..
Also, I noticed, I don't think there are moogles ANYWHERE in VII..Other then in AC when there's a girl carrying a moogle doll, but that's the only one in the entire VII universe I've ever seen, so it makes it that much better..

@Prince McKupo: I don't think I have ever seen you o.o I'm guessing you are premiering the outfit this year? :3 If not then I'm horrible >-< retention of memory is somewhat lacking in this gal's department (lol)
I'm so glad to finally see a mascot moogle, KUPO! I love moogles soooo much, kupo kupo! You should see my stuffed collection, kupo! And I didn't pre-order FF14 Realm Reborn JUST cuz of the moogle cap, kupo! XD

Another thing, I'm trying to make moveable wings for another outfit of mine (which I'm sadly not going to premier this year at kcon :( but later at Newcon this year). And I thought, maybe I could help? I'm new at the moveable things, but I'm not making electronic wings, I'm actually doing them so that when you move your arms, they flap, kupo! :D
Let me know what you think, kupo kupo! ^_^

@greg atlas: okay that was the end of my kupo-ing XD
I know about the baking soda trick, lol, it's just my shoes got molded so badly (and I didn't know they were until it was too late) and just had to throw them out. They were already crappy boots anyways (got them at goodwill) so it was okay. And actually that's how I saved my Aqua Boots :3

@Sailor-Jeimi: That's hilarious!  Also, technically, there are moogles in VII with the Choco/Mog summon and the Mog House arcade game in the Golden Saucer.  :-P

@luvan1me: Yeah, it's my premiere year as a moogle.  Two years ago, I was "Prince" Garnet and Ellis from L4D2, then the years before that, I was Shuichi from Gravitation.  And also, thanks for offering, but I'd would like to take this whole hair-ripping project myself as some sort of test of my willpower, since with every other cosplay, I had assistance.  So don't mind me, I'm slightly masochistic and a bit of a martyr in nature, I already know I'm gonna suffer plenty wearing the darn thing!  ^_^;;

AH Totally forgot about those..Other then right now (I'm only just after the part where you have to first ride a chocobo across the area that the one-hit-kill snake thing is), the last time I played it was when it first came out. A week after it came out in 1997..So yea..lol I beat it back then, but yea, I was freaking 10 lol

@greg atlas: okay that was the end of my kupo-ing XD

By all means, kupo all you want lol. Just keep in mind that even though I probably won't have a place or an assistant to do Kefka this year doesn't stop me from being him in my head. ^_^' Or perhaps he is me in his head. Could you imagine though, if Kefka walked up on screen and kicked a moogle away just to prevent saving in certain critical areas of the game?  ... Now I'm tempted to animate that.

I might have enough saved up now to afford a shared hotel room, but still finding someone who would be willing to spray the body makeup on is one of my biggest issues holding me back. It would be fun to test out my new equipment though.

@greg: lol thanks :3 I just feel that sometimes people think it's annoying heh -D-"
I would totally help you with spraying you XD I had to help my friend at Scon this year with spreading green all over her face and shoulders for her Tonberry lol So messy >-<

@kitten face: ooh I saw your posts on the FB page :D they are looking awesome! I'm really excited for your costume (not because I'm watching my husband play the game or anything lol)

EDIT:
Also, just took this:
http://www.cosplay.com/photo/3413552/
The last pic I took was really red looking..The exposure on my phone camera was all messed up for some reason..Fixed it..Also, these are the shoes I painted. I returned the white ones because they were too small and got mens shoes. These are "faded glory" brand converse that were black and I painted then purple with fabric paint.

Anyway, Doe, I forgot to ask..What are the Kairi bracelets you have? Like what do they look like? Being a guy, my wrists are gonna be bigger..Gotta make sure they fit..If they are the same thing as the "livestrong" type bracelets, then yea they'll fit, but the girls bracelets you can get anywhere, won't.

I'm probably being a little crazy here, but I'm also thinking about sporting a gijinka form of the moogle as well underneath the mascot outfit, just in case I want to stay in character while taking an "air/cooling break".

Thankfully, the stuff I'd have to wear for the gijinka form are very light and breathable and everything doesn't seem to limit or restrict my movement within the mascot so far...probably better than the normal clothes I'd actually be wearing underneath anyway.

I'll hopefully have pics taken before the last week of August...Hopefully I'll actually be done with making the damn thing too... ^_^;;

Yeah, whatever you do make sure your as cool as possible in there. Ive seen people that had to go to the hospital they were overheating so bad in those things. Of course they were being idiots and never taking breaks except to eat and sleep. Just be careful and you should be fine.

Oh, I'm super paranoid about taking precautions (I tend to go overboard with those too), I'm equipping myself with a hydration pack and a few cooling bands for my head, neck, wrists, ankles (I need to see if I can get either white, pink, or purple to match the moogle color scheme).  I might do a cooling vest as well, but those things are 'spensive...and I'm already waaay-ha-hay overbudget...

I'll probably just do the good ol' video game break rule: Take a 15 minute break for every hour spent.  My cell phone will buzz me every hour to remind me to strip when I can.  :-P

yeah I wouldn't advice you on wearing a KIGURUMI underneath a Mascot suit. I overheated last year even while wearing my kigurumi :/ so I wouldn't advice it! I don't want you to go to the hospital! I say, like Sailor-Jeimi said, to keep your costume in the hotel (or in a bag with you) so you can change into it once you are ALL done with the mascot!

@Sailor-Jeimi: Yeah sure! But it's best that I give you my cell number just in case because I won't be at the hotel most of the time (even at the end of the day since I host late night panels). I will PM you my celly number :3 and email just in case ^_^ And once I know my room number at the con, I'll let you know :3

Haha, don't you worry, McKupo will definitely be making his rounds (showing up to the Squeenix, FF (both of them), and KH shoots) since I figured he'd be tossed around and used by everyone like a Megalixer.  :P
Prince McKupo is back in the action, baby!  Kupo!  Now, as for my "cooling down" cosplay: Jude Mathis, with both his Xillia 1 (100%) and Xillia 2 (100%) outfits.

Hey McKupo, Were you gonna have a save sign? If not I can make you one..Wouldn't it be awesome to walk around with a sign that says:
"Save, Kupo?
>Yes
   No"
And yes, I will put the little arrow in like that. lol

Sign's actually already made, but thanks for offering Jeimi-Kupo!  I'm now putting the finishing touches on the human form and being all nitpicky with the mascot head.  I'm being kinda kupo-for-kupo nuts with this cosplay because I put quite a bit of gil into making it, so I want to make sure everything is done right and ensure its survival to last several cons to come.  And hopefully I will have pictures up before the actual con, hehe-kupo...

Ooo that gave me an idea of how you could use a white board and then you could use a magnetized arrow to make the selection. I think the dollar store on Washington street in Portland has a white board perfect and even has a blue colored boarder. If you wonder why I mention this specific dollar store it is because it's one of the biggest dollar trees kind of like comparing regular wal-marts to supercenter wal-marts.

hey guys! so I changed the time of the shoot 30 minutes back! So instead of 4pm it's 4:30pm. I did that only because I just realized our KH panel is over at the red lion hotel. And we have 30 minutes to clean up and such so we may not get out till 4pm so we would want time to change or what not. Is that okay with you guys?
