SE Portland/Gresham...so about a 25-30 minute drive to the Hilton/Red Lion. Wished I could have registered earlier to get a room just to save gas and not have to contend with traffic each day, but I suppose the peace and quiet of my own place saves my sanity and wallet at the end of the day.

Though the past two years of attendance, I've come up from NorCal. This is a relief if I've ever felt one.

Vancouver, WA. It takes about half an hour to walk to the hotels from my place, unless I'm in my high heels (then I just take the bus).

I definitely know what you mean...I'm only comfortable sleeping in my own bed, I know the feel of my bed as opposed to hotel beds that usually have...less than desirable factors about them. Not going into detail there...

Downtown Portland. Only ~15 minutes away, but we still get a room. We frequent the late-night panels, and sometimes one of us needs a nap or is ready to crash when the other isn't. Also, I'll be doing some serious staffing this year, so it totally pays to stay close the entire weekend. Besides, I prefer to completely immerse myself in Con. They just wouldn't understand back at my apartment.....
