This is kinda VG-related, so I think this merits it putting here.
As many of you know, on Thursday, we lost a video gaming giant. Hiroshi Yamauchi, president of Nintendo from 1949-2002, passed away at the age of 85. He joined in 1949 and in his 53 years at the helm of Nintendo, he turned Nintendo in the VG giant we know today. In addition, NW sports fans may recognize him as the owner of the Seattle Mariners from 1992-2004, when he passed control onto Nintendo of America; by purchasing the team, he prevented them from moving to the Tampa Bay area of Florida.
Rest in peace, dear brother.
