What you will need to do it create a heart big enough for people to see but will stay within the guidelines.
The color you will need to make is mentioned below.
You can tie it to your badge with a ribbon or find another way to attach it to yourself, as long as it will still be visible to the other members.
If you don't have any supplies to make one or you accidentally leave it at home, I am sure there will be some people who are willing to make extras for those who do not have one.

Anyway, we don't need separate minor/adult groups. People in the last thread already said why. The minors have different colored badges, that say YOUTH on them..Pretty hard to miss. So we shouldn't need any more then the 3 colors.

Also, maybe you could put a list of the members that will have extra of the hearts to hand out for those that can't make theirs, or forget theirs..I will be making a crap ton so I will be able to hand them out. They will all have ribbon and be made of construction paper. Since it's a time that seems to always be sunny, being summer and all, paper should be fine..But yea, if you could make a list of those handing them out, that might also be good.

Posting a thread you didn't read all of? We already explained why, IN the thread..that thread was also originally for like, 2012..And 6 pages long..Only about 2 of which were for last year..So it's literally not a thread to keep up on..Thus making a new one..


And "cosplayers" was just used because it catches people..as well as most of the people that go to cons, are cosplayers..It's just a thread title, you will freaking live..Any attendee can join in, don't nitpick it..

You want widest possible exposure, not "a majority".  Less hostility, please, especially towards fellows that would like to see this work well.

BTW, colored ribbons on/near badges sounded like a good idea.  Not as keen on big hearts on ribbons.  Not keen on wearing hearts in general.  Don't know how many feel similarly, but people not liking the symbols they have to wave also decreases participation/enthusiasm.

The Title has been changed now there will not be any confusion.
If someone could link this thread into the old one I would really appreciate it.
As for the hearts...right now it is still early enough that we can make changes once we get more people involved.

I added it just in case we do end up with some minors. I don't want there to be any confusion, and if we only get a few who are minors and the rest are adults...i might just make it an only adults thing.

No, that's not what I mean..I mean you don't need it..At all..The people on the old thread were telling ME how pointless it was to make even MORE colors..That's kinda the whole point of the badges being different colors..So making different colors for minors doesn't separate anything..You could get 3 adults and 1000 minors....It wouldn't matter..

Well I really like Rinoa's design. So..lol And not really bringing "Squall"..It's FEM!Squall..So it's a female version..If you make it, are you going to use ribbed fabric to make the duster? I can't tell you how many non ribbed ones I see because no one wants to look for the right fabric lol


And what you look like has nothing to do with if you could do anything Lolita..Do it anyway. Just be wary of what you buy and were you buy it..Just try to get good stuff. Not cheap, super lacy, Ita looking crap..lol

This sounds interesting. I'd probably be up for this, assuming I'm able to swing Kcon in 2014. It seems like every year I say that I'm going to go, and then a few weeks before the convention something terrible happens and I can't afford it anymore. Or there's a Star Wars Celebration, which always takes priority. >>;;

I do have a suggestion, though... Instead of having everyone make their own hearts, why not have pre-made images that people can just print out, cut out and affix to their costume? That way there shouldn't be any confusion possible. There could be a heart image for each color in a set size.

Last Kumori was my first foray into proper cosplay, and this year I'll be crossplaying a catgirl with the closest thing to lolita that I can manage to knock together in time without a sewing machine.

I'm a writer, primarily for Sword Art Online fanfic (where my main accomplishment is this ongoing epic) although I have brainstorming in progress for an original novel. Generally speaking I have a creative streak a mile wide; I have a tendency to grab a new medium and take it as far as I can with whatever project inspired me to do so. I have a huge workspace in my apartment devoted primarily to Lego building that is now also my general craft and costuming area.

I'm a linguist; I speak/read/write half-decent Japanese depending on the subject matter, and bits of other languages. I also enjoy conlanging; I created a language of magic for a story that is fairly detailed. Talk to me about linguistics and we can talk for hours.

I'm a gamer and play just about anything except fighting games--which I love to watch other people play.

I live in the Seattle area with a 16-year-old cat and far too many Lego parts, and work for a data visualization software company.

Oh, and I'm slightly addicted to Tumblr.

 Witty, sweet, indomitable, bold, funny and loyal...are a few others. A little hard headed too I'll admit.
 No human is without a bit of shyness. An easy way to break such a spell is to invite or pull me into the group. I also try to stay vigilant for others who aren't having a good time, I usually drop what I'm doing and run to their rescue, or help in any way I could.
 I also like to kinda plan things, even if the plan is random silliness or lazing about.
I can be a dapper gentleman or a rugged unbreakable mountain of courage. Sometimes life demands one be both. Oh and beware, I have a depth of wisdom sometimes more than I can even comprehend, and did I mention highly skilled in wit and puns?

Bands of note include Guns n roses, AC/DC, Metalica, Dropkick Murphey’s, DragonForce, Journey, Bon Jovi, Alestorm, and scores by John Williams.
Hobbies: cosplay (obvious), tabletop minis games and rpgs, drawing comics/manga, Amtgard LARP, camping, hiking.

Hey, did anyone even MAKE anything? Or was it suppose to be all me? My printer is out of ink. I can't make them..If no one else did, we kinda are screwed here..Also, if no one else made anything anyway, then I will be happy I didn't, because it shouldn't be JUST me doing it anyway..
