I do know what a photoshoot, thanks though.
If you need to apologize if something sounds mean, yes, you are being mean intentionally.
Yes, I know there are a lot of forum threads, I have been on the Kumoricon forums and going to con since 2003.
The first post said this was a "Pokemon 2015 thread," and I was unsure exactly what that was/entailed. I do know "photoshoot" was NOT used in the first post anywhere. Look.
POKEMON 2015
Pokemon 2015 thread. This time I WILL be running it!! Last year both of my cosplays got ruined before con (Serena was just working at ALL and Sabrina got ruined). I already started my cosplay. I will be Rustboro Gym Leader, Roxanne, in her Omega and Alfa version outfit. Easy cosplay. Can't screw this one up..
Fun game for everyone!!AS
So as it's stated above, I will be cosplaying the Rustboro Gym Leader, Roxanne. With me will be a prop storrage container thingy that will be her Pokemon, Nosepass. You can see it below in the thread. However, I will ALSO have a ton of Stone Badges with me. I will have a sign, but for those that read this, you can get the info here, I will accept anyone who challenges me to Rock/Paper/Scissors. If you win, you get a Stone Badge.
I know I do not need to explain myself, but since my inquiry seemed to upset you (since you felt the need to be mean and repeatedly correct me about no mention of panel anywhere) I will. Due to a year of family upsets, doctors, specialist and therapy appointments and such I am not as involved with con as I used to (and would like to) be, nor do I have much time to do more then skim the forums best I can. So as I said, I was unsure so I asked a question to clarify.
You stated you are running this. People running things get asked questions, sometimes simple or otherwise.
You should be able to answer a question in a non-offensive manner, without attempting to belittle the questioner. The response you gave is not a way to encourage people to come to your event.
Here is an example of a way to respond in a positive way:
"Hi! This thread is for the Pokémon 2015 photoshoot, no idea of a date yet." To encourage attendance perhaps add, "Hope to see you there!" or "Great for kids!"
If you're aiming for elitist, you nailed it! Good luck with that.
Though if this is the vibe of the photoshoot, I am glad I know to avoid recommending this to others.
