Awesome! I can definitely help out with panel advice. (I've done at least one panel every year since '08, including some at Sakuracon). I know that some of the other panelists from last year may want to help out, too. There's my ex (who was Princess Luna), and someone who sometimes frequents these forums that went as Princess Celestia. I think they both are planning to repeat, but the Celestia may be a Rainbow Dash... I don't remember.
As for the panel itself, what did you have in mind in terms of how to run it? Discussions? Games?
By the way, anyone else that wants to throw in their two cents about what to see happen (whether you want to be a panelist or not), please feel free to throw them in!
Last year, we had a Family Feud game for the all ages panel, and a custom trivia game for the adult panel. I was thinking about possibly doing Pictionary, but having the contestants draw with their mouths (just like the ponies do). The all ages had a custom Impromptu acting game towards the end; that was popular. We should definitely look at multiple game options and convert them to pony versions somehow.
As a recommendation, we may want to have at least one game offer up prizes. Last time, we had things like plushies, comics, I think a t-shirt, and pixie stix.
We tried to do sing-a-longs, but the selection of songs wasn't that great. We could also have a bit of the panels be a Q&A session. Something that I enjoyed doing was a pair of videos. One of them was the top five results for a Family Feud question left out of the game, and the other one was 6 bronies picking their favorite scene involving a specific member of the Mane 6. (I picked the one for Twilight).
