Going to Sakuracon? Hope you got a room already

Well the hotels are filling up fast, the Paramount only had single rooms left when I called last night. Two of the others are sold out so you should hurry and reserve since you don't have to pay any actual money till you check out.

yeah i got my room months ago, and i didnt even get into the main hotel.  im accross the street.  but you need to be carefull, cause im prity sure the con dosent reserve the whole freakin hotel, they just run out of the "special rate" which...when youre allready paying like ...monies for the room seems kinda like a negligable amount.

Actually, Sakura-Con don't have a main Hotel.

How much money is negligable to you? because the average difference between the Convention rate and the regular rate is in the aria of $40-$50 (or more)...

Oh yeah, and the Roosevelt and Hyatt are sold out...

well one of the hotels is on the same block as the convention center...like connected to it.  so i would call that the main hotel only since its the closest.  and yeah 50  bucks is neglageble when youre allready paying arround 200 dollars for something. and that extra 50 means you actually get a room, as apposed to no room at all since the group rate is sold out.

especially when youre spitting up the cost with other people.  50 bucks becomes like 12.50 more a person.  and that IS negligable when talking about hotel rooms.

I got a room at the Hilton MONTHS ago for me and my boyfriend who's flying in from Boston to come to the con. But he decided to fly in Wednesday night instead, so we'll be going up (from Portland) thursday. So I tried to extend my reservation to thursday nigth as well (note that I tried to do this about two weeks ago) and I couldn't. They were all full.

So now we're staying thursday night in another hotel a few blocks away (not one of the con's hotels) and then moving our stuff over to the Hilton sometime on Thursday. x__x

So yeah. Reserving... like, several months ago would have been a great idea.

Got myself and my bro a room at the Crown Plaza. As far as I know they still have rooms available and so does the Red Lion.

yeah we got a hotel, I'm staying with Kori (aka fuji), my boyfriend, also known as Kintaro Oe, on the SC boards, the man with so many nicknames, even I don't know what to call him sometimes

I'm commuting from home.  Bus stop is conviniently infront of my house.  So I'm all set as well. (Still not sure if I want to take the bus and get all the strange looks)  ^_^;

Yatta Cloud and myself have ours at the Paramount.  I think there should have been more blocks open for Sakuracon attendees though...
