I'm more of a manga person myself. My favorites are Love Hina (yeah), Mahou Sensei Negima, Et Cetera, DNAngel, that Pokemon manga series by Toshihiro Ono, and much much more,

Anime... let's see, Tenchi, Kare Kano, Arc the Lad, Nadesico, and a few others that I'm spacing out on right now.

Japanese song: Melissa by Porno Graffiti. The opening theme to the first season of Fullmetal Alchemist. I love the music video for this song too.

Anime: Too many to list. Right now Fullmetal Alchemist.

Manga: FAKE. Hurray for yaoi! I only have the first four volumes right now.

Anyway, since my post was deleted:
Anime: Kare Kano, Nadesico, Tenchi Muyo (Mostly the OAV), a few others

Manga: I prefer this much more than the other two. I like Love Hina, Mahou Sensei Negima, DNAngel, Et Cetera, Kingdom Hearts, Minto Na Bokura (made by the same manga-ka who made Marmalade Boy), and currently reading Ultra Maniac.

It's out of order, and if i hadn't of read the manga first, I would have been really confused, and they changed the basic story line around.

Oh, I just remembered another manga that I really really like. It's by a guy (I think it's a guy) called Renga. Does anyone know about the Spotlight Manga Artists books that came out a little while ago (#6 and #7 came out recently I think)? Renga has a whole book; his is #3.

Anyway, he has a comic of his own going on called Brafman (Okay, not the best of titles) and he did another where it's a 3-volume manga adaption of the Kanon anime. I'm not exactly sure what it is about his artwork but I love it.

vinilla (or banira) i iz curious as which version you like best neko? the one from mars or the 6th day, the one on the 6th day is just a little more naughtyer then the original on mars so i can just guess....

Anime: Many, but at the moment, D.N.Angel
Manga: Also, too many to have just one favorite, but one of the tops is Dramacon. Only one volume is currently released, but I am hooked. Another is Bizenghast, which also is too new to have more than one volume out. Amazing, they are!

I have no friggin cluse what my favorite anime is.
I usually just say Evangelion because It's the only one I've bothered to buy all of. I can't watch it all the time though.

As far as tmy favorite song goes, it's a toss up between something from Mini Moni and something from Shonen Knife.

Favorite song. Well, I have too many, so I'll go with what my current favorite is, and thats Ichirin no Hana by High and Mighty Color. Its the third opening to Bleach.

Manga. Wow, where do I begin the list.

Ahem.

I hope I don't leave anything out, I do read too much.

In alphabetical order:

Angel Sanctuary, Azumanga Daioh, Bastard, Beck, Black Cat, Bleach, Cromartie High School, Death Note, Elfen Lied, Eyeshield 21, Fist of The North Star, Fruits Basket, Full Metal Alchemist, GTO, Guyver, Hikaru no Go, Hunter X Hunter, Inu Yasha, Kare Kano, Mahou Sensei Negima, Naruto, One Piece, Prince of Tennis, Shounan Junai Gumi, and Vagabond.

Thats off the top of my head, though, and I am pretty sure I am going to have to edit it later.

Anime? Well, pretty much the same thing. With some differences, which I will explain below.

I hate the Angel Sanctuary OVA as its too short to fit 20 volumes worth of content into three ova episodes. I am glad they didn't even try. The same goes with the Bastard OVA. Need more Bastard anime.

Death Note will have an anime eventually. I heard a live action movie series based on it recently got annonced. Need more Fruits Basket anime. Regarding FMA, I love the differences between the anime and manga, and I can enjoy them both seperately and equally.

GTO's anime was ok, but the manga is ten times better. The Jdrama was ok. Guyver has a new TV series, finally. Hikaru no Go, what can I say, I think Sai is HILARIOUS, and every manga needs a character like him.

Hunter X Hunter got tied up in OVA hell, oh, and Killua's father looks like Dark Schneider from Bastard for some reason, that doesn't mean I dislike the anime, I just ALWAYS thought that was weird.

Inu Yasha and Prince of Tennis need more anime, as the series both ended after catching up to the manga. Shounan Junai Gumi and Vagabond NEED their own anime. Shounan Junai Gumi is about GTO's Onizuka Eikichi as a teenager, with his best friend Danma Ryuji, and its HILARIOUS. Vagabond is simply some of the best are I have ever seen, and its by the author of Slam Dunk, which I loved.

Kare Kano needs more anime, it, like alot of others, caught up. Naruto is currently in filler hell. One Piece is doing filler too.

Oh, and I hate the Negima anime. Totally different from the manga, and I didn't like the direction it went.

Yeah, aside from those opinions, the manga list pretty much applies to the anime list. I'm tired, and need sleep, so I am sure I missed some stuff. Edits shall be done at a later time, when I am more conscious.

Manga: Anything by Minekura Kazuya, CLAMP, and LOVELESS.

Anime: FINAL FANTASY VII - ADVENT CHILDREN (hence my avvy)
...okay, fine that's a movie and not anime...so...Saiyuki...or Kyou Kara Maou! (God? Save Our King!), I luv many of the voice actors!! XDD

Manga:
Pretty much the same as animes, with the exception of Only the Ring Finger Knows.

Music:
Stray,Gravity(wolfs rain) Tsuki no Kaasu, Michiyuki(loveless) Rakuen no Tobira(Matantei Loki) and pretty much anything by Gackt and L'arc~en~Ciel, and Butterfly,yes the DDR song.Its been in brain since Japanese Club where we played DDR.

I feel like Im leaving a bunch out! but I cant bring myself to name them all...though I probably will in a later post.^_^

i was at uwajimaya sunday and was drooling over the gackt albums (so pretty you know?) i found a copy of moon child!!! my boyfriend thought i had flipped out or somthing it was
me:"dododo sooo pretty pretty AAAAG!!! EEEK!! moo moon CHild!
boyfriend: shhh! (we were in the book store) wait what?
me hopping up and down: "hh eeeeeeee Gackt looooo kk hyde wwaitt yahoo! "
this is where i checked the price i had 20 with me it was only 15 bucks
then i ran to my boyfriend and waved the movie in his face for 5 seconds
while going "eeep epp look look look!!! then i ran to the counter and bought it all but bowing and saying "thank you thank you thank you!!!" over and over again
this is where he likes to point out the counter i ran to was 5 only 5 steps away, and he sez my noises were more of a moan "ah" noise
this is where i point out he never listend to gackt before he met me and even tho hes seen the gackt and l'aruku albums i have, still probably dosent realize what a junkie for there stuff i am
i think my responce was compleatly normal.. for a jrock otaku junkie

J-Pop CDs for under $20???!!!!

I have got to remember to check out the CD section next time I'm there (most CDs I found there last time were over $30). ^_^

^ The ones that are over $30 are the dirrect JPN imports...
The ones that are under $20 are the US re-prints...
This applies to CD albums. Singles tend to be $12-15 (JPN). I dunno about the US versions.

I only buy the JPN versions...which is costing me an arm & leg. o.O

yes i'm normal yup yup, just thinking about it induces drooling happyness they had another copy last time i was there too only friggin 15!! i know people who spent months looking for that movie

they have some cds in the 15-20 dollar range but yeah there mass produced quality, the gackt albums they have are just like the ones i bought in japan but there spendy 37-43 range each (i knew this, this is why the Gackt section at book off was empty after i went there)

Right now im collecting Imadoki. And I just finished collecting Hot Gimmick and W Juliet. Furuba is good!

Anime- Im hard core old school Sailor Moon fan! And Slayers of course! Right now I just finished Elfen Lied GOD SO GOOD, and am currently watching Bokurano and something in anime club I dont memeber the name of where this guy wakes up with a mask on with no memmory and he lives in a village where girls have tails.
