I know its hella popular, but since it hasnt been dubbed and licensed in the U.S yet I was wondering if anyone would be cosplaying from Bleach. I know someone cosplayed as Kon last year, that was awesome!

P.S, go to www.youtube.com and search for Bleach. They have the whole series uploaded with subs for people to watch!

There were a couple Ichigo's as well last year.

I'm thinking of going as Ichigo (with original sword) to Sakuracon. If I do that I may do one of the other shinigami for Kcon.

I'm working on that guy's costume right now, It'd be cool if we could get a pic of a couple of Shunsui's being lazy or drinking and a couple of Nanao's yelling at us

yeah, i think it would probably be happening kumoricon this summer, but one can only hope . its crazy, since i started taking commissions i havent had time to finnish my own costumes yet, i havent finnished anything for myself for sakuracon yet and thats kinda 2 months away now, im freaking out. but im sure ill pull it together in the end.

on the Sakuracon forums is a section for sharing rides, you should be able to find someone to take you up if you really wanted to go.

Cool! breaking away from the Naruto cosplay are you? I wonder if Bleach is gonna be the next big Cosplay wave out there? Most of the shinigami costumes are pretty basic with stuff just added so it's kinda easy.

Also does anyone know the purpose to the slit in the sleeve of the black kimonos arms, basically the underarm seam is not attached.

felt it was time for something new as the haku cosplay is over a year old now. it does look like bleach is the "next big thing" though.

You mean around the armpit area? I think there's a slit so it won't rip or so it's easier to move around in. I don't know for sure but I think that's what I've heard.

Or wait; is this a question about kimonos in general or a specific costume?

I've only noticed it in Bleach, and only the black kimonos people wear, I even saw it in the live action Bleach musical.

i just saw some this weekend, so yes it is in the cosplay options as i am doing black hair girl charaters this year (lulu sakaki) and there is a girl with black hair who is funny

I've got most of the costume for the 8th squad captian, I just need the pink bit he wears as well as the sandles and hat. The hair to I guess. Anyone have any ideas where people can find such things either online or in a store somewhere?

I've ditched my shinigami idea and I'm planning Nova now. Probably won't be done for Sakura-con, but will definitely have it for Kcon.

As for what Bleach is...it's hard to describe.

Unfortunatly Ebay has only been so helpfull in finding costume bits. The sandles they have for sale are the wrong size for me (size 9 is just a bit too small) and I can't find the rain hat that the 8th squad captain wears. The pink bit he wears on his back would be nice to have two. That's all I have left for the costume. Can anyone help point me in the right direction for the left over bits? I'm sure I'm not the only one that could use the help.

My friends are organizing a big group of Bleach cosplayers for Sakura Con, but I don't think I'll join them this year.

From what I'm told, it has to do with everyone thinking Ichigo bleaches his hair due to its color. I don't know if this is fully true as I haven't read the series yet.

I may get a 3rd costume and there's one person I would cosplay for sure. Uruhara Kisuke! WOOOO!!!! Anyway it's not for sure, I need to find a good hat, then I need to find a cane with a sword in it, not to hard right? <_< I mean they only on episode 87 atm on youtube. I doubt I'll find the cane but whatever, the costume is all over ebay. hopefully I get the costume ^^

Hey all!

My hubby and I will be wearing our Bleach costumes on one of the days, probably day 2. I will be Unohana (4th Division Captain) and he will be Tessai. I am also working on putting together a Ururu costume for the last day of the con.

I was wondering if a gathering has been organized yet for a photoshoot? If it has when and where will it be taking place? I would love to get pictures of all your costumes!

Edit: If a place and time hasn't been set up I would love to get as many Bleach cosplayers together on day 2 of the con for a photoshoot. Let me know what you think.

I just got my Shinigami costume today and am hoping I'll be able to modify it to go as 9th Division Vice Captain Hisagi Shuuhei.

EDIT: If anyone's going as Tousen, let me know, and maybe we can meet up and hang out XD

EDIT2: and I need a reference pic for the Adjuctant badge. Does anyone have a good picture of Hisagi's?

Sasu-kitty: Are you still looking for the vice captain image? If you are you should check out Janchan's Bleach Reference page. She is has a great site with lots of helpful images. She totally rocks.

Good luck finding your Taichou! If you are captain-less you can say you are cosplaying after the Soul Society arc so your Taichou is with Aizen! I'm kinda in the same boat. I'll be looking for a vice-captain. Hope there's an Isane there!

I wonder how many Bleach cosplayers will be at Kumoricon...
