how do you become a mod here because i always wanted to be one im just wonderin

All the K-con forum moderators are staff, and all staff are 18 or over.  Many staff members are mods (though I don't believe all staffers are).  Basically we're the ones who frequent the boards the most and make sure that all the rules are followed and that posts are in appropriate places and stay on topic - when they're not, we shuffle them about.  We kinda feel like vice cops once in awhile too, so it's really not all glorious or whatnot.  But it's more up to the site admins than anything who gets to be a mod and who doesn't.  I, for example, just kinda fell into it at some point I don't quite remember back when I ran registration, and it stuck.

The admins are all little different but my requirements are 1) got to be on staff, 2) got to have been around a while, 3) got to have a good head on your shoulders (ie do we think you'll make a good mod, and do we think we'll agree with your judgements), 4) got to be willing to be around a lot to jump on anything that needs urgent attention. There's no point appointing someone who never logs in (and we do have a few of those already.)

Sorry we can't appoint anyone who just asks, it just never works out that way.

Show up at the next convention meeting and sign up as a volunteer... I'm pretty sure we're still allowing minors to be volunteers, even if not full-on staff.
