Some of my sister's friends from out of town are arriving this evening and staying for a few days, so I may or may not be there. We'll see what happens tonight. If we end up exchanging gifts, I may be homebound again.
BESM D20 doesn't have a lot of medieval fantasy adventuring provisions, you say? Would it be possible to start with BESM D20 and work in whatever you want from D&D? Or the other way around?
I dunno, I just really like to get away from the rigid setup D&D always starts with. Rogues disarm traps and backstab people, fighters hit things in the face, elves find hidden doors, etc. etc. Plus all the D&D GMs I've ever had have had us spend 60% of our time in a slimy cave or smelly dungeon. I know that's optional, but it always seems to happen, and I really wonder why my hero shouldn't have better things to do with his/her time.
I do have a medieval anime character or two that I could play. But I do hope we have access to BESM D20 skills and classes. I really liked a lot of what I saw, and the one time I got to play regular BESM was a lot of fun. ^^
